14-year-old Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon"s hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview.

@CoffeeCakes, thanks for the additional insight. Interesting. I wasn`t aware of that Lennon interview in particular. Although I am not a Paul is dead conspiracy theorist, I`ve also heard the rumour that a bystander remarked that he (Paul) resembled a walrus upon looking at his mangled face after the alleged fatal auto accident ... thus the whole association. Was it more like The Beatles having a laugh by being cryptic ... almost certainly.

LeHoFook, you`re semi-correct.

John was the original Walrus in `67 when the original song came out. In `68, he gave the name to Paul. Some feel he did this to mess with conspirators who compared the Walrus to death in some cultures.

"I felt, he can have it. I`ve got Yoko, and you can have the name. I said `the Walrus is Paul` for that reason". -Interview in Rolling Stone 1971.
