@davymid: She`s a comedian. Like Andy Kauffman she`s willing to "role play" to get comedic results.
Did you know Maryln Monroe was required by her contract to act stupid in public? True fact.

@SmagBoy: I explained the difference already; scroll down, read, edumicate yoself.

@markust: A little cotton candy is yummy now and then!

@mcboozerilla &@SavageChef: Hook, line, sinker... you fell for her act!

She`s divorced and remarried. I guess that makes her an adulteress. Irony, anyone?

5Cats, the birth control portion of Lillian`s argument is that, if a person who define`s homosexuality as wrong because it doesn`t lead to procreation, why would that person allow birth control. It`s *not* about whether or not birth control is a natural or learned behavior but about the hypocrisy of the "procreation" argument itself.

I have no idea who this woman is (though a quick google confirmed my suspicions of what background she comes from).

But goddam, is she hopped up on something, or is she that way all the time? Is she for real, or is this a cheeky comedic parody, a charicature/persona if you will? Please let it be the latter.

I freely admit, maybe I`m missing something here.

But it`s still ALL LEARNED. In us humans.

Note: I have a VERY rigid definition of homo- hetero- and bi-sexual, eh?

No one`s taking up the "fetish" challenge, eh? :-)

Sorry! @markust! I totally overlooked the "I wrote it" part! That`s entirely different than "offering proof". It`s totally cool that you got printed!
sorry!sorry!sorry!
It still tastes like cotton candy though

And if we`re talking about the same penguins, they were raised in a private Zoo for their first 2-3 years, just the two of them, and sent to another big Zoo later on.
If these are different ones I`ll have to look them up, but every time "gay penguins" comes up it`s the same two from the tiny Zoo...

And it`s difficult to explain, but ALL "human sex" is "natural" in a way. It gets complicated when one starts talking about "socially desireable" and "benificial to the species" and stuff.
I just think bi-sexuality is the "default" and it comes around puberty.
Hetero- is the societal "norm".
Homo- is just another varient.

@mandino: You`re fortunate, many males who are attacked falsely believe that "it makes them gay" it takes a lot of guts to stay true to your beliefs!

@markust: Paragraph #2: "Animals are instinctual; this behavior is not a choice for them" UTTERLY false! Next you`ll say Geese fly south by instinct alone? L-O-L-Z! Disproven 6 days through Sunday, the rest of the article is equally "vacuous", you call that bit of "fluff" proof? Ugh.

Mutual, exclusive, for life, naturally.

Doesn`t have to be the same partner for life, just the same gender. HAS TO be mutual. Exclusive means there`s no opposite gender partner available (like @cobrakiller`s link). Natural means you didn`t raise 2 penguins all alone for their formative years...
If that`s acceptable and unnatural, why isn`t homosexuality?
@Django: Fair question! The difference is "prevents" or "prohibits". One can use birth control to not get pregnent, but still have a baby 2-3 years down the road. Homo- prohibits birth. A true homo- CANNOT have or make babies (without technology) ever! (or a turkey baster)

@cobrakiller: OH PLEASE not the two gay penguins AGAIN! I use that as an example of how it`s NOT natural! Those two were isolated in a small zoo, all alone = NOT natural! They "prefered each other`s company" when place with dozens of other penguins in a new zoo... DUH!
Finches: In cages, form pair-binds?
Pair-bonds IS NOT SEX, mutual or otherwise. The other birds mentioned are bi-sexual, only pairing with other females since there`s NO lone males available. IE: If there was a male around? They wouldn`t be "lesbians".
All fails. NEXT!

""What? You`re discriminated against because you face criticism on a daily basis? How does THAT work" funny how you believe that is true but criticize someone about race, sexual orientation, any other belief, ect ... and its discrimination"

Gay people do not protests churches. Gay people do not protest church functions. The only time you will see gay people protest is when we are being discriminated against. This new phenomenon of Christians being the victims is ridiculous. If religious people would quit judging people who are different from them all would be fine.

I am unaware of how my post judged others just because i dont think it is right? that is my opinion same as you have yours. My religion teaches me that whether or not you agree with someone, i still should respect them and have tolerance to their opinions an d believes. And @madest how old was i when i decided, not important what was important was i decided i would not do it after being sexuality abused by a male. my life philosophy is if you can live with it i can live beside it. regardless if i agree with it or not

@5cats...i think you missed the point on birth control. Most americans believe it`s ok to use condoms, the pill, etc to prevent pregnancy...but since it`s not found in nature and prevents reproduction it could be deemed "unnatural"...yet it`s acceptable behavior. If that`s acceptable and unnatural, why isn`t homosexuality?

@LillianDulci, @SmagBoy and @FP: That is the STUPIDEST post on IAB this year!
Stupider than @madest even!
Name 3 animals who, in the wild, practice birth control. Are you suggesting the birth control is NOT learned? Geez! That`s just the surface of teh stupid!
Humans EVOLVED to engage in mating practices outside of the female`s reproductive cycle! Tribes that engaged in exclusive M-F pair (or small group) bonding did better (survival wise) than those who didn`t.
Are you suggesting our evolution is HARD-CODED into our DNA? Cripes! We learned it! (Hetero-sexuality) as a survival skill!

@Mandingo: You are entirely correct: Don`t let the IAB Libtard Crew shout you down with bullshiite!

@madest, @CobraKiller, @SmagBoy & others:
What about "fetishes"? Hummm? How can I possibly have "been born with" a horsey-fetish? But it`s EXACTLY the same as hetero- OR homo-.

They`ve proven hetero- is learned!

There`s NO evidence of Homo- aboung animals IN THE WILD. None, I lookeditup!

Often animals will engage in same-sex courting OR actual sex, ok? BUT there`s zero evidence they don`t go off and have hetero-sex the next day! THAT isn`t homnosexuality. Get it?

Mutual, exclusive, for life, naturally.

I`ve challenged IABers before to link some proof and they linked a few! But not one came close to actual proof. Feel free to try again though!

I won`t even get into Genetic Diseases...

I watched the Stossel show on Fox Business channel, it was a special at the Univ of NC at Chapel Hill. He had a short debate between a pro-traditional and pro-gay advocate. Within the first 30 seconds the pro-traditional advocate had already contradicted herself. First she says that marriage was a pre-political institution and then she wanted to politicize it to protect it`s integrity. Stossel of course was on the side of the pro-gay advocate.

UDUMASS, care you explain how my comment is wrong? He was arguing that homosexuality is unnatural because sex is for reproduction and gay sex doesn`t result in reproduction. So I listed many other ways sex doesn`t lead to reproduction. No one`s trying to ban those, or running around talking about how people are doing something unnatural when they participate in those kinds of sex, or trying to restrict the rights of the people participating in those kinds of sex.

Read about Jiraffes. Pretty much all of the males are gay. It`s pretty much by accident that a female is on the recieving end. Masterbation is natural as dolphins do it as well, seems to be a higher brain thing.
The only thing being talked about here that`s un-natural is religion. I`ve never seen any animal make a cross on the ground. Bats don`t fly around churches ecolocating bibles on Sundays.
If a beaver knocked on my door with "Good News" about the lord I might change my opinion.
Man made religion not the other way around.
It`s not my fault that I was never brainwashed as a child to believe in fairytales.

"On the other hand homosexuality is not natural. The point to sex is reproducing and repopulating society and gay sex doesnt do it."

Then why is there birth control? Should birth control be banned? What about people having sex while the woman is already pregnant? Are they unnatural? What about infertile people, should they never have sex and should they never be able to get married? Is that unnatural too? What about oral or anal sex between heterosexual people? Should it be banned? Is it wrong for people to do it and should people be trying to take away their rights? Are heterosexual people participating in those kinds of sex unnatural too?

The purpose of sex for humans most of the time is not for reproduction, it`s for pleasure and bonding.

@mandingo - Your religion is a choice, and I`ll bet you don`t want to be discriminated against. Rights shouldn`t be decided by sexual orientation or religion. BTW your "it`s not natural" argument is stupid. That`s just your excuse to judge and discriminate. Doesn`t your religion teach you not to judge others? Or do you only follow the rules that you like, and ignore the rest?

mandingo, Homosexuality is as natural as Heterosexuality [though found in much smaller percentages]. If it werent there wouldnt be homosexuality in any other animal.

Here are some other animals that form homosexual relationships: swans, penguins, dolphins, canines, felines, monkeys, other apes, elephants, some lizards, and even some insects. Do you believe dranonfly`s have the ability to make a decision on their own sexual identity?

`Thanks to capitalism though no child in the US and many industrialized nations is expected to work in sweatshops to feed their families.`

Child labor laws are what ended the use of children in factories. I suppose what you`re saying is true, in the sense that adults looking for work in the depression spurred the movement to end the use of children in factories. That happened though, because people were so desperate for work that they would work for the same wages as children. So thanks to capitalism, people were desperate enough to work for children`s wages. Great.

homosexuality is a choice in my view. I do also believe they should have same rights to an extent. On the one hand any human should have all his/her God given rights. On the other hand homosexuality is not natural. The point to sex is reproducing and repopulating society and gay sex doesnt do it. With that being said, my father in law is gay, and while i do not approve it, i do support him and his partner.

At least they`re all being consistent in their brainwashing.

As for the ancient Hebrew argument, I really wish people would wrap their heads around something:

Although what it means EXACTLY has been lost to the ages, the same word occurs elsewhere in ancient Hebrew texts (in various tenses and forms) to say that people ought not to do these things. It is always used in a sense of losing cultural/ethnic and religious identity. Hence the argument from ignorance does not work.

<= I`ve been a student of ancient Hebrew since 2001. I read it. I write it. I study it daily (well, most every day).

Idiots all around.

On one hand dogma and snippets from books are not compelling interests for any govt to ban contracts between two people.

On the other hand, I don`t have to like it but if Chick-Fil-A wanted to discriminate against LGBT they have EVERY right to do so. Exercising that right means they accept the consequences of those actions such as a vanishing customer base and loss of revenue.

Also - I feel bad for people who immediately think homosexuality is wrong and won`t question their own beliefs about it - like the guy who interrupted the interview. His own mom is apparently gay, and he can`t even talk to her or `deal with it` because he can`t get past his own homophobia.

That`s sad. There is no rational reason for thinking homosexuality is wrong. There`s only fear and religious reasons for it.
