I wouldn`t have noticed anything different about her if the article wasn`t about her being plus-size. I think she`s probably just literally bigger (taller, thicker, like Amazon-woman-esque), not that she`s really got much fat. He stomach is close to flat, and she still has a fairly hourglass figure.

thats cool, but with what her height has to be to be the slim as a 16 kinda evens things out, if I didn`t know better I`d say she was several sizes smaller.

Well, she`s hot - that`s for GODDAMN sure :-)

Your body is the most amazing instrument you will ever own. Take care of it, but don`t be ashamed of either, skinny or fat.
I think she is just as unrealistic as the slender girls.
She is slender. She isn`t skinny.
Not many look this good I that size
I`d bet good money that "that size" is in the medically ideal range for her height.

Hmm...actually, I think she might be a bit under. She certainly isn`t over.

Someone went looking at the data a little while ago, collecting the figures from the sizing guides on the websites of various shops. It really is a very silly system.

Pick a number, any number

[quote">The data I collected confirms that sizing is indeed madness. In the UK, a size 16 at Jaeger has a bust of 108cm, waist of 88cm and hips of 114cm: a size 16 at Banana Republic has a bust of 98cm, waist of 77cm and hips of 103cm. That`s a 4-inch difference, and it`s not unusual.[/quote">
"Plus-size" in the fashion world is not what people normally think of when they think plus-size. You don`t have to be fat to be plus-size in modelling, you just have to be a normal weight.
That`s it in a nutshell.

Although I think she`s probably under normal (i.e. average) weight for her height. I`ve just looked up her height - she`s either 6` or 6`2", apparently.

Besides, dress sizes are fairly random anyway. It`s a silly system.

Apparently her measurements are 99cm chest, 81cm waist and 110cm hips.

That could put her anywhere from 14 to 18, depending on where she shopped. Also what she was buying - different shops don`t even have the same ratio for those three measurements.

The fact that she`s considered plus size is drated up. I don`t see anything wrong with her. She could take me to Mcdonald`s any time. :P

A UK size 16 is like a US size 12, which is still "large" (for a fashion model). This girl is nonetheless beautiful.

I don`t like those grossly skinny models, but this woman has the figure of a potato, wonder how much worse it is without photo-shop. All of those folds and cellulite..

Angelmassb hits it right on the head. She should just be called a regular size model, and the rest of them should be called "minus sized" models.

People don`t know or forget a LOT of what makes your body look like it does is muscle tone. After all, you can be a pro football player or a weight lifter and weigh well over 200 lbs and look super hot.

If you don`t work out and weigh, oh 240, you will look like a tub of lard unless you`re 6`4"... same goes for females too.

No matter the height, you still have the same width. Looking at her alone will give her an appearance of being normal. When you take her in comparison to other smaller (read: normal) people, then you`ll see she actually has a lot of curves going on. FWIW, I`m 6`4" and what saves me from being pear-shaped is my height - but then, put me against a small person and 2 can fit in me, and it shows. PS: rawr

This is "plus size" ?
She looks like a healthy woman.
Hey straight guys...isn`t that really more appealing than those swizzel sticks they usually have modeling? I would think you`d like some soft curves to hold.

Perfect woman.
At last a break from the idiotic images of drug-addled stick-insects foisted upon the public by mentally impaired `fashion` designers.
A breath of fresh-air and common sense; air brushed or not, the womanly figure depicted is a more accurate representation of healthy reality .

Shes a size 16 in UK sizes not American. She`s roughly a 12 in American.

Also, she`s very porportionate so of course she looks nothing like the American bloated bodies.

"6ft 2in model"
this is why she is a size 16, my girl is a size 14-16 and she does not look like that (shortarse at 5`2")

I`m smaller than a 16 and I look like a mountain of lard in comparison to that. She`s not disgustingly thin like most models, but the difference between a size zero and a size 16 is a hell of a lot more than what we`re looking at here.

A 64 inch waist might seem small on a guy who is twelve feet tall. Still, this is a step in the right direction. Lingerie models are shaplier than runway models. I would like to see more clothes that are attractive on normal women. It seems average sized women are left with dumpy looking clothes unless they spend a fortune. Maybe they just don`t know how to shop. I see lots of female fashion fox paws, mainly overtight jeans and dressing too young. It`s complicated because women`s bodies vary more than men`s. Where am I going with this... 1/good to see at least a little movement toward normalcy and 2/the fashion industry sucks.

wow. nice try. give a large number "size" and say that she is "plus size" or whatever. too bad she is super tall and you photoshop the poo out of her to make her look smaller, thus defeating the purpose of what this ad was supposed to convey in the first place.... if anything this seems to be more of a slap in the face to women than anything else. definitely not giving them confidence in most cases as it portrays its ad to do. what a shame.

She`s also 6`2. A size 16 in a shorter woman (like me at 5`7) looks VASTLY different.

Ug. I`m a size 16 and I can safely say this is 1/million perfect fat distribution. Anyone who would praise her for good looks would scorn me for being exactly the same size. drat that poo. XD

Plus sized? Pardon me, you spelled NORMAL wrong.
