FoolsPrussia-"forcible rape". I didn`t realize rape could be any other way."

There are different kinds: Statutory rape, which may not be forcible, date rape, spousal rape, gang rape and the old Prostitute-paid-with-conterfeit-money and realizes `I was raped` when she tries to put it in the bank.

Rape, in any form, should be punishable by death.

Gerry1of1-"Mr. O didn`t say "you didn`t build it" he said "you didn`t build it ALONE"."

So, you got a transcript of that? The word `alone` didn`t appear in that statement.

Gerry1of1-"Where do you get educated workers? From public schools."

Paid for by taxes of the people and businesses. Don`t look now, but the government`s not doing too good of a job with the whole education thing.

Graduates from Public Schools have no idea how to make change. Any employer who hires a graduate from a public high school has to train the kid to do the most basic things.

Gerry1of1-"How did your materials get to you? Public roads."

Paid for by taxes of the people and businesses. Built and maintained by the taxes on the trucks who travel them. The roads follow the business.

If you were to depend on just taxes on passenger vehicles, every interstate highway would be a clay road.

"Mr. O didn`t say "you didn`t build it" he said "you didn`t build it ALONE". "

Exactly. Just because he forgot to say "alone" this time doesn`t mean he didn`t men it. The conservatives are using this as part of their campaign. So basically a large chunk of their campaign is built on a lie.

Mr. O didn`t say "you didn`t build it" he said "you didn`t build it ALONE".

Where do you get educated workers? From public schools. How did your materials get to you? Public roads. etc. It`s the old "No man is an island" speach.

Obama has done so many truly stupid things we don`t need to take stuff out of context to find fault. Let`s keep it real.

He should drop out of politics due to inate stupidity.

madest-"Biden was right. "

Biden was working that slavery thang. Pure Race Politics.

madest-"Akin was wrong."

And if you would check my first post in this topic, "He should drop out of politics due to inate stupidity."

The thing that perturbed everone is I pointed out that Lib stupid statements and Conservative stupid statements do not get treated the same. Had Biden said what Akin had said, he would have been given the chance to `clarify`. Or he could claim he `misspoke` and all would be forgiven by the press.

I don`t think anyone should forgive him. Personaly I never got the hang of forgiving but I`m pretty sure it`s up to the injured party. So until pregnant rape victims denied abortions say they forgive him nobody else gets to.

Obama`s speech was no different than Mitt`s speech to Olympians,

"You Olympians, however, know you didn`t get here solely on your own power. For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers, encouraged your hopes, coaches guided, communities built venues in order to organize competitions. All Olympians stand on the shoulders of those who lifted them. We’ve already cheered the Olympians, let’s also cheer the parents, coaches, and communities."

Mitt using Obama`s words out of context after saying pretty much the exact same thing at the 2002 Olympics just shows what a lying skumbag he really is on the inside.

"Obama is just trying to set up a scenario to get the dumb masses believing they actually helped the successful succeed"

I agree with that. I also see nothing wrong with that. What is wrong with letting the teacher, or the construction worker, or the policeman feel pride and ownership in the businesses in their community? A sense that everyone helps? Not everybody creates a business. Some need to do all the other jobs that support our society. Can`t everyone have a sense of pride?

"paying them with taxpayer (i.e. successful businesses) money"

Business taxes aren`t the only taxes. There are income taxes and sales taxes and registration fees. Private citizens pay for the roads as well.

"Putting it in with the rest of the speech does not make it any better."

Are you kidding me? You don`t think context matters? Context ALWAYS matters. We aren`t talking about Biden`s quote which is idiotic, or Hillary`s quote which was a lie and then they tried to say what they MEANT afterward which is bulls.hit. We`re talking about what he ACTUALLY SAID.

Example of context:

I believe in Euthanasia. I support everyone`s decision to end their own life. If you were suffering from an incurable disease and asked for my help ending your suffering as painlessly as possible, I will help. I will kill you.

Is that the same as saying: I will kill you? Because according to you putting it in with the rest of the sentence doesn`t make it any better.

"The point is Obama was saying the businesses would not exist without the government."

That isn`t what I took from it. I took that he was saying businesses wouldn`t exist without the community. I think there should be civic pride in the businesses in your town. I take pride in supporting local businesses.
Obama is just trying to set up a scenario to get the dumb masses believing they actually helped the successful succeed, and have a right to confiscate what they have.
Swing and long drive to center....it`s outta here!

It`s really just that simple and if you don`t see it you`ve bought into the lib/progressive agenda hook line and sinker. But that`s OK with you because you can pat yourself on the back and tell yourself that you`re more compassionate than those other people.

@HolyGod.

The point is Obama was saying the businesses would not exist without the government. Which is exactly backward.

And again, the exact quote is "If you`ve got a business, you didn`t build that." Putting it in with the rest of the speech does not make it any better.

We`re putting in a road right now. Government`s not building it. In fact, they make sure to stand in the way as much as possible.

Obama is just trying to set up a scenario to get the dumb masses believing they actually helped the successful succeed, and have a right to confiscate what they have.

The feds build the roads, by hiring private contractors and paying them with taxpayer (i.e. successful businesses) money. And they build the roads where the businesses are.

nubblins-"like those who build infrastructure,"

Who got paid.

nubblins-"enforce laws so you have a safe place to have a business.."

And they get paid with tax money from those businesses.

nubblins-"What is so bloody controversial about that?"

"If you`ve got a business, you didn`t build that."

That is what he said. Had it been a Republican, the press would have been all over it.

Just pointing out the double-standard, and using the Dims logic against them.

"Ah, the `roads and bridges` argument, even thought the sentence states specifically `business`. "

Mother of god dude. Here is his exact quote:

""If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help … Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you`ve got a business — you didn`t build that. Somebody else made that happen,"

What exactly is wrong with that? I started my own business. I took out loans. I utilized SCORE, the SBA, and Chamber of Commerces. I got help from lots of people. There is nothing wrong with admitting that.

"The roads followed the business."

Maybe hundreds of years ago. But he wasn`t talking to people that started businesses hundreds of years ago. He was talking to people who started businesses now. I asure you there wer

Did you even read his entire speech? He was saying that there are other people in this world that help you succeed, like those who build infrastructure, enforce laws so you have a safe place to have a business.. etc.

What is so bloody controversial about that? I think you`re just making it that way so you have a talking point.

FoolsPrussia-"`You didn`t build that` is the truth and you know it."

Nope, it wasn`t. But of course, how would he know? He`s never started a business, or even worked at one, a day in his life.

FoolsPrussia-"Stop distorting what Obama said."

"If you`ve got a business, you didn`t build that." is the EXACT quote. No distortion necessary.

FoolsPrussia-"He was speaking about the roads and bridges, etc"

Ah, the `roads and bridges` argument, even thought the sentence states specifically `business`.

Here`s a clue for you. The business don`t follow the roads. The roads followed the business. The roads were paid for with tax money from successful businesses and people, not the government. They were built by private companies, paid for with tax money.

Had the businesses not been there first, the road would not exist.

lauriloo-"wow, you distorted what Biden said.."

How can you distort the statement "He is going to put y`all back in chains." when talking to a crowd of mostly black people?

And how can you distort the statement "If you`ve got a business, you didn`t build that."?

See, Dims are allowed to say anything they want, and then later `clarify` what was said. (or say is was `misspeak`. Like Hillary saying `We landed under fire`, and when it was pointed out it was clearly a lie, she was able to say she `misspoke`...how the hell do you misspeak about landing under fire?)

And anyone quoting them accurately is condemned as `distorting` what was said.

Gotta love that double standard.

Biden`s comment was pretty dumb. `You didn`t build that` is the truth and you know it. Stop distorting what Obama said. He was speaking about the roads and bridges, etc. that help your small business succeed.

wow, you distorted what Biden said even more than Fox news. Congrats! Granted, Biden should have used the word "shackles" like the republicans did but anyone with half a brain would know what he was referring to when he said "chains" instead.

`Under H.R. 3, the only victims of “forcible rape" would qualify for federally funded abortions. Victims of statutory rape—say, a 13-year-old girl impregnated by a 30-year-old man—would be on their own. So would victims of incest if they’re over 18. And while “forcible rape” isn’t defined in the criminal code, the addition of the adjective seems certain to exclude acts of rape that don’t involve overt violence—say, cases where a woman is drugged or has a limited mental capacity. “It’s basically putting more restrictions on what was defined historically as rape,” says Keenan.`

Thank you America for your politicians!

From art classes in high school I learned that comedy is all about exaggeration and contrasts, irony and sarcasm. Well. From Europe, I have got to hand it to you: You gave us Will Ferrell and Jerry Seinfeld. Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor.
But these politicians you have...!

What I would not give to be able to cast my vote in an American election. I have seen all the clips on youtube of Mitt Romney. The songs. The tears. The drama. The masturbation. What more could one ask for? When Romney went to Italy, Germany, England... well I followed him like a freshly single women in her early 40`s follows George Michael on his half- filled concerts. Like her, I left a trail of bodily fluids, but they were not from my pelvic area, they were trails of tears. Tears of laughter. Thank you, America!

FoolsPrussia, there are other types of rape, technically. Rape by coercion is one. A good portion of rapes in Sweden are in this category. I`m sure he wasn`t thinking of this though.

But anyways it`s not hard to be against this guy. I mean seriously, by speaking out against this guy you`re taking the very risky position of "I am against rape" which is not a very radical position to say the least.

He is incredibly dumb, if anything. But not different than Joe Biden. Giuliani was correct in labeling Biden as just dumb. We`re supposed to believe this guy is so smart, but why? Joe Biden`s accusations of the other side putting black people back in chains to work on the fields to pick cotton is pretty outrageous. Don`t think I saw that here.

Ok, so he`s willing to apologize for what he said. Fine, apology accepted. But the thing is, Todd Akin created legislation that coins the term "forcible rape". I didn`t realize rape could be any other way.

Oh, and Paul Ryan co-sponsored that legislation. Weasel your way out of that one, Romney/Ryan.

Sorry, I said it wrong but I still want you to deal for 9 months of poverty, depression and pain carrying your rapist`s child. Oh, by the way, we`re also taking away all the financial help poor pregnant women currently get because we think you should get off your rape-pregnant ass and clean toilets to pay for your prenatal care that Planned Parenthood used to provide before we defunded them. God bless.
