Link: Julia Childs + Guns N Roses = Awesome Sauce - This short clip actually made me a little sad. You don`t realize how much you miss Julia until you know she`s gone.

They should replay all her shows.
Cooking is still cooking, even in re-runs and she`s better
than Rachael Ray or The Chew.

She taught me to wrap chicken with bacon, which will marinate it with the dripings, and to stuff more bacon and butter under the skin. Also, she was the omelette queen. For that, I will always love her.

No, the Drunk Kitchen comes from Graham Kerr, the "Galloping Gormet".
He was drunk so often on his cooking show they finally had to
    boot him off the air.

P.S. The movie `Julie & Julia` is totally worth seeing.

I used to love watching Julia Childs as a child, and then during my studies, found out she was a member of the OSS, the founding org of the CIA:

Child joined the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) after finding that she was too tall to enlist in the Women`s Army Corps (WACs) or in the U.S. Navy`s WAVES. She began her OSS career as a typist at its headquarters in Washington, but because of her education and experience soon was given a more responsible position as a top secret researcher working directly for the head of OSS, General William J. Donovan. he needed to ensure that sharks would not explode ordnance targeting German U-boats. For her service, Child received an award that cited her many virtues, including her "drive and inherent cheerfulness." As with other OSS records, Child`s file was declassified in 2008, and, unlike other files, her complete file is available online.[11

You can`t fake that kind of innocent comedy. She was brilliant without even trying.
