@mcGovern: It is gravy, just a chicken or turkey gravy with spices and usually vinegar to sour the sauce. I suppose avnerd might mean a "sauce brune" but that`s just beef and chicken stock.

@avnerd: bunnyhug, I used to call it that when I was younger, now I just call it a hoodie. I don`t know how we came up with bunnyhug.

Misrepresenting Canadians everywhere! Poutine sauce is NOT gravy! The hat she is wearing is an ushunka, not a toque. A hoodie is a hoodie, unless you are from Saskatchewan. Then it is a "bunnyhug". I don`t know what makes a washroom more professional than a restroom. As the book says, Everyone poops. Ah well, she`s cute, eh?!

Carmium, some Americans do say crayon "cray-on", but I know I and others say it "Cran", rhyming with "an"

1. Apparently saying "like" a lot is also Canadian.
2. What the hell is wrong with pronouncing "about" as "ah-bowt"? Are we supposed to say "ah-baht"?
3. What is the supposed American way of saying "crayon" if not "cray-on"?

aaaargh.... why am I STILL watching this?! Minutes go by and I am inexplicably transfixed by this mildly cute chick telling me things I don`t care about. Just. Hit. Stop. Damnit!

Two things:

1) She is freaking adorable

2) It may be because I am from Michigan, but none of this was really odd to me. Well, nothing but "Runners" and milk in a bag. That stuff was weird.

We stopped having milk in bags when we moved to Alberta, and very few people say `about` like that.

Oh and if you want good poutine its only made here:

and can someone explain how tennis shoes=running shoes somewhere in the states?
