@patchgrabber Does that mean that getting a puzzle piece tattoo means you`re autistic? Or a pink ribbon means you have/had breast cancer? Sometimes people get tattoos to show support, and I think this is just a retarded way of doing that.

@slut_etta: Paramedics or hospital staff make a note of tattoos and such when they admit a trauma patient. This would likely suffice to let them know he`s diabetic.

impractical. no one looks at your hands, unless they`re injured, when you go into shock.

on a related note, i wanted to get a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) tat on my left chest but have been told that hospital personnel would not honor it...
