First of all he looks like an idiot, second the whole point of a bike is to use differential gears to your advantage. I`d like to see him climb a hill on that.

[quote">I have a problem with people when they insist we go backwards in progress.[/quote">

It can be fine if it has some value. For example, there are plans under way to build the final design of Babbage`s Analytical Engine. It has no practical value whatsoever in the modern world and it`s as far backwards in progress as you can go in the field of computing.

But damn, it`s awesome. Its historical value makes it worthwhile. A full-on programmable general-purpose computer, programmable by software and not reconfiguring hardware, with output by printer for both text and graphics (only drawn by pen, but still) and 3D hard copy. In the 1830s.

Sweet! I`ve found the original text of the Countess of Lovelace`s original
notes on computing. It`s such a shame that she`s known as the first computer programmer. It`s not true (Babbage w

Gah, IAB`s crappiness wins again as the text troll ate the end of my post on it`s way from the editing box to posting.

It`s such a shame that she`s known as the first computer programmer. It`s not true (Babbage was) and it obscures what she really did, which was much more impressive.

The first bicycles were like this in that there was no drive mechanism - they didn`t have the weird frame, tho`. I`m sure this is just an expensive way to go downhill.

Pretty obvious hipster poo for the simple fact that by way of gears the bicycle can more efficiently turn work into kinetic energy thus providing more results for less effort which is the entire purpose of a bike in the first place. If all you want is the workout then walk, jog, or run.
If this is for medical paients who can`t take the knee and back strain of traditional running or bicycling then ok.
