Link: The Ultimate Dark Knight Rises Street Art - Now this is blatant advertisement I can live with. A chalk artist in Spain created this piece to hype the IMAX release.

Opinions differ hedkwab. I thought the entire saga of movies was boring, bland, unoriginal and just dumb.

Hype can be good up to a point in the sense that it encourages an enthusiasm about the phenomenon- and as long as its quality, depth, substance is sufficiently authentic, then this is beneficial. The problems begin when the hype reaches the point that is threatens to over-inflate the emotionality around the event- then we start to see things like the oppositional reflex get triggered- which is particularly sensitive these days- where some people develop a covert fear of being excited or even liking the phenomenon anymore. I think that everyone should just relax a little, step back, take a breath, and just enjoy what happens to be a rather rare and pleasant thing in this series: A film experience which combines the thrill of fantasy with the authenticity of narrative and qualitative depth.
