But that poo ain`t the truth. The truth is you`re the weak. And I`m the tyranny of evil men. But I`m tryin`, Ringo. I`m tryin` real hard to be the shepherd.

Aw, that`s a disappointment, so the bit where Moses murders an Egyptian and gets away with it isn`t true?

Shucks, maybe I`ll wait for the Tarantino version before I read it.

... yeah... it`s the version I use all the time to make sure I`m not using a favourable version to me.

It`s also the version I`ve been using since... what... 2000? 2001?

It`s not very good. Much of it is desperate attempts at finding something wrong, completely disconnected at any given point.

"Thou shall not" - SEE?! LOOK AT IT BEING ALL BOSSY!
"Kill" - IT WANTS YOU TO MUUURDERRR!!!

This is stupid. I didn`t look under all the categories, but i did look under biblical contradictions. Many of the compared verses had nothing to do with each other, were not in context, and didn`t even contradict at all. Example: "God is Love" does not necessarily contradict that God should be feared.

I also looked for things under the book of mormon and that was so stupid. I found a verse that seemed even so poorly written that I had to check an online book of mormon to verify it. Sure enough the line was hardly noticeable in the actual text and the meaning from the skeptic version was absolutely not the same as the actual version. It is funny how unskeptical the "skeptics" will be when finding information about something that is arguing in their favor. I wouldn`t be surprised if this website was actually a joke on people who claim to be skeptics. It is almost as ridiculous as the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide website.

@jkfld: Interesting theory, and the spectre of "puppetry" has come up now and then, but I offer 3 arguements: 2 serious and 1 silly (y`all can figure out which is which)
#1: Strong People have no need of "puppets" WE speak the truth and have nothing to hide. In my personal experience it is lefties & liberals who are vastly MORE likey to use puppets. Why? Because they NEED to be part of the "in crowd" where everyone agrees with them!
#2 You are a "dog person" and your opinion is meaningless
#3: YOU are the sort of atheist who chooses fear and hate over love and understanding. I`ll explain: You`re so afraid that Christians "know" something YOU can`t understand that you`d sooner destroy their religion than admit your weakness. YOU mistake telling the truth as "trolling" so I suspect you`re also a liberal.
REAL Christains, like Daniel in the Lion`s Den, are not afraid of the opinions of others: speak the truth

 @nubblins "gets it" hooray!
Is that YOUR "little nubblin" in your avatar?

True Christians are NOT afraid of flaws and hard to understand parts of the Bible: they have Faith, that`s all they need!
IF a few words on a printed page is enough to turn your face away from God`s? You were doing it wrong in the first place...

I`ve been to this site many times before it was posted here. This is a good reference for anyone who wants to look deeper into the Bible for oddities and interesting tid bits. It truly gives you a better understanding of stuff in the Bible whether you`re a true skeptic or a person of faith.

I`ll go with George Carlin on this one and say: "Keep thy religion to thyselves!" Problem solved.

"God is love, and mockery has no place in love."

I really hope you`re trolling because that makes no sense.

Mockers will mock, but faith in God will go on forever. God is love, and mockery has no place in love.

@SteelGrid: Not satire, it`s FUNNY! I personally found dozens of lol-worthy tidbits there! And interesting stuff, and `gee I didn`t know that!` stuff too. Both positive and negative.

@markust: there`s no shortage of mistakes in ALL the holy books! THIS site makes them oh-so-easy to find!
Like: One Gospel lists 28 ancestors for Jesus (leading back to David) while the other lists 43! And only 5 names are the same? WTF! How did THAT get past the Editor?

Funny + Educational + Interesting = WIN!

The following is the worst editing error in the Bible:

"(2:7, 18-22) "God formed man of the dust of the ground." In the first creation story, God makes humans (male and female) after the other animals; in the second, God makes a man first, then the other animals, and then a woman.
Were humans created before or after the other animals?"

I`m curious how the followers of the Bible explain this colossal error. Because the mistake is so close together it is almost as if the people who wrote the bible were screwing with their followers.
Thats because, I assume like myself, he missed coming to this site and LAUGHING!!!

Its like I keep saying, and people mock me for it, ever since whatever Staff change happened when we lost the Fancy`s HDD posts and moveed to the clicky clicky bulls.hit, this site has gone down hill, crashed, made a crater, and rolled down the sides.

In short, posts have gone from funny to just trying to incite reactions on the forums. This post, while satirical, is a PERFECT example of this....
You should ask for your money back.

This post is in no way an attempt to start a "Holy Flame War"!
I`m of the opinion that the site is useful to both pro- AND anti- religious folks!
And it`s FUNNY! Really wonderfully funny!

Matthew 6:28 "Consider the lilies of the field...." A nice analogy, good advice (unless you live in cold climates), and a great movie."

Well, I lol`d: it gets cold here bro!

I don`t know about everyone else, tedgp, but I`m getting more fed up with your moaning about nothing in every single post you make. We all have a rant now and again, but you take it to a whole new level. It`s literally every post you make is complaining about something, usually something that`s also nothing. I`ve never seen you post a single thought-provoking or funny observation. It`s always just a complaint. That gets pretty boring after a while, you know?

I preferred the Brick Testament back when it was online a few years ago. (It used to have scenes from the Bible depicted imaginatively in Lego). I see the sell-out that owns the site has taken it offline in the hope that people will buy the paper/ebook version of the content from Amazon now. Boooo!!!
