I went to a church exactly like this with a girl I was dating at one point be base she asked me to come with her. We broke up a week later because I couldn`t handle the amount of bullpoo. It was the most bizarre experience of my life. I felt sad for them. It`s like.... Reality and rational thinking is too much to handle...?

And don`t get me started on the slime balls that were on stage. You can tell they know it`s bullpoo. You can just TELL! They make boatloads of money off these people though. It`s territory sad.

Here is something fun - try this 10 question quiz. It contains BASIC questions about Obama`s healthcare law.

I bet - if you are honest - you won`t get 100% right. And if you do, I bet you support it. I got 10 out of 10 - better than 99.6% of Americans who took the quiz.

    Quiz - takes 30 seconds.

"is there anyone who can actually tell me what the drat obama care even is?"

Yes. In America, if you don`t have health insurance but have to go to a hospital because you are very sick, the law says doctors cannot refuse to treat you - you will get full care. Now, the hospital will send you a bill, but guess what? You don`t pay it, either because you are too poor, or because you are a fricken freeloading a-hole.

Guess what the hospital does to recoup its lost $$$? It raises prices on EVERYONE who does pay for their healthcare. That is basic economics.

Obamacare fixes this problem. It provides TAX CREDITS for many people to compensate them for buying health insurance. It provides TAX CREDITS for business to provide healthcare for employees. If you are poor, it expands Medicare coverage (gov`t healthcare for the poor).

BUT, if you CAN afford healthcare, and refuse to buy your own, you pay a penalty.

That tax penalty is something like $675 or 2.5% of your income, whichever is larger. The point is, it will make sense for RATIONAL people to just purchase their own healthcare.

Obamacare also makes it illegal for a health insurance company to deny coverage to people because they are already too sick. A very real problem exist(ed) because people with prior illness simply could not afford health insurance because their rates were far too high - insurance companies would not cover them. GUESS WHAT - those people would still go to the hospital, still get treated, and the cycle continued.

Obamacare stops DEADBEATS from causing MY INSURANCE PREMIUM MONEY to pay for their healthcare. It makes everyone pay for their own with a combination of incentives (tax credits) to reward people who buy their own, or disincentives (tax penalties) for fricken freeloading deadbeats who can afford it but won`t.

Oh, and lest Republicans lie to you - the TAX PENALTY ONLY APPLIES TO PEOPLE WHO CAN AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE BUT REFUSE TO BUY IT. The lie is that it is a huge tax increase - but MOST people ALREADY have health insurance, so the "tax penalty" means nothing to them.

Only something like 1% of Americans lack health insurance (Medicare covers the very poor). So, only if you have no insurance but could afford it do you pay the "tax penalty." And you can avoid that tax penalty - and take advantage of beneficial tax credits - if you just purchase health insurance.

The law also requires states (or, if the states refuse, the feds will do it for them) to setup Health Insurance Exchanges, where all citizens will be able to compare health plans and shop for their best option.

There it is. That is Obamacare. Truely the most significant evil the world has seen since Hitler. Just ask Republicans.

Oh, and it keeps costs down because, once everyone is insured, people are more likely to see the doctor before an illness spirals out of control, requiring super expensive hospital visits when simple, preventative measures could have prolonged life for much cheaper by catching the problem before it required a trip to the ER.

That actually depends on which disease you`re referring.

if the states refuse, the feds will do it for them

The lie is that it is a huge tax increase - but MOST people ALREADY have health insurance, so the "tax penalty" means nothing to them.

As a penalty it does not stand up under the commerce clause, so it is a direct tax. Unfortunately it is still unconstitutional because it is a direct tax NOT based on a census.

It`s funny how they say an ER visit can ruin you financially yet somehow in 2010 yearly medical insurance premiums averaged at around $5000 while a single trip to the emergency room was $1300. So tell me which is worse?

The incentives only apply to exchanges setup by the states not the federal govt. Unfortunately, only 15 states have setup exchanges the rest are rather inclined not to do so.

"Now the insurance companies charge everyone a high premium, to recoup their losses."

    GOOD!

The whole point of insurance is to spread the cost around evenly, so it isn`t too high for the very people that actually need the help.

Healthy people pay more than they use, sick people use more than they pay.

And healthy people STFU about it (or should!)...because: one, they`re healthy and should count their blessings, and two, they`re only one wonky cell-division or red light runner away from being sick themselves.

"Obamacare stops DEADBEATS from causing MY INSURANCE PREMIUM MONEY to pay for their healthcare."
Whuh? That don`t make sense a`tall.
Those `deadbeats` go to emergency rooms at county hospitals and get treated. Your insurance company doesn`t pay a single dime of that bill. Our tax dollars do, but not your insurance.

Because Obamacare requires insurance companies to expand their existing coverage, you can expect your premium to go up though. Not because of uninsured deadbeats, but because of the Deadbeats in Washington, D.C.

No, the point of insurance is to have money prepared in the event of a catastrophe, not make it easy for everyone to be cared for. Giving coverage to someone who already is sick defeats that very purpose.

I have no problem with it being called a tax. I have a problem with people repeating lies that can be easily disproved by a few clicks on Google. It`s f*cking lazy.

Call it a tax, call it a penalty, just make sure everyone is insured so our country is not drained financially when the uninsured get sick and become so overloaded in bills that they have to file chapter 11.

As I`ve already pointed out, everyone does not need to be insured. On average, a single visit to the ER are cheaper than yearly insurance premiums.

You`re cracking me up. You are so hyper-focused and locked on your point you couldn`t even see mine, which by the way is in the single sentence you copied and pasted. I was talking about something heavy like cancer. Something that will overload the person in bills. Your example is not going to overload a person in bills. The leading cause of chapter 11 is the uninsured who have had enormous health care bills due to sickness or accidents. I am not fine with Chapter 11 being used as a health insurance plan.

I found a reasonable insurance plan for $215. My coworker in his twenties found a plan that is even cheaper that fit his needs. I bought this so I wouldn`t be a burden on my family if I get really sick. There is no excuse not to have a plan.
