I don`t know why we`re listing movies, but I second the votes for The Fifth Element and Bladerunner, and I put in mine for the original Dune, if it hasn`t been already.

* Blade Runner
* Heat
* Dumb & Dumber

I only put that last one in on the off-chance that Roger Ebert might read this and become apoplectic.

Marcus, Trillian, Gerry.... you are all out of your elements, and need to shut the f... up. This question has many facets, dudes. There are things you might not know, you know. There are ins and outs.

I apologize for the confrontational tone, but this agression will not stand. This is what happens, ladies and gentlemen - this is what happens, when you fu*k a stranger in the a55.....

Second for The Fifth Element.

Young Frankenstein
Creature from the Black Lagoon.

But, being the B movie fan that I am, the two that I can not help but watch:
Death Race 2000
Humanoids from the Deep

(a little trivia from this scene in Fast Times...The look of disgust on Pheobe Cates face is real. Judge Reinhold actually placed a large dildo between his legs to shoot this scene, without letting her know.)

It`s not a movie but when I write I listen to James Laid and James Seven over and over and over. Puts me right in a writing trance. There are three or four songs I have to remove but the rest is writing gold. I`ve handed over my mix to a guy with writers block and he was cured.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The Shawshank Redemption. Legend has been playing a lot lately. I`ve probably watched it three times this past week. Pulp Fiction. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Fried Green Tomatoes. Hellraiser 2. Romeo + Juliet. The original Clash of the Titans. Both Bill and Ted movies. West Side Story (even though Natalie Wood`s Cuban accent is atrocious!). Léon: The Professional. Amadeus. The first three Indiana Jones movies. The Silence of the Lambs. Ferris Buellers Day Off. I should probably stop now, because I could just go on and on.

That movie may not hold as special a place for you as it does for straight boys. There is a topless scene in that movie that got rewound and paused so much that blockbuster had to keep ordering more copies because the tapes got worn. Ahhh, the days before the internet.
