Remember that photo last week of the full-scale Hot Wheels loop track? It"s real and here are the cars that raced it.

I think they should take the line out of the equation too.. anyone can do it with a line, it takes skill to do it without. Both should have gone up at the same time and came down side by side. That would have been really cool.

They should have gone through it at the same time.

From what I read about this, and heard through other shows and whatnot, is that the cars were only going about 50-55mph, in order to keep the suspensions from bottoming out, creating drag, and causing a nasty wreck.

Also, the way the second car pogo`d when it landed means the tires were seriously overinflated, probably 70-80psi, and the suspension stiffened to the point that it barely compressed.

Not all that impressive when you figure in the engineering, but I still wouldn`t want to be in the car.

I think the speed needed to do this is surprisingly low.

Nice. But those are some ass-ugly cars. Looks like they ran out of paint and just started splashing whatever on them.

After seeing so many failed loops on the first couple tries it was nice to see someone make it on the first go. Also, that was awesome.

Crazy. They didn`t seem to be going that fast.
