Because he was a psychopath. He liked to kill people, he liked to be in charge of others who were killing people.

Actually - you CAN admire a womans nails without sounding creepy- likewise genuine comments about appearance- avoid obvious sexual references and have a real reason for the admiration ( that colour suits you, the hair brings out your eyes etc) - if you are POLITE you won`t go far wromg!

VV I think we broke @r66tramp`s brain-box! Baseball? Who mentioned baseball?

From @r66tramp`s profile: The Franklin Expedition? No that was the Artic Ice in the Northwest Passage...

VV True that @Gerry1, but @MacGuffin`s tough, she`ll be OK. (I do support the apology request though).

"Bad IABers, bad."

Oooo! @Buiadh`s going to punish us all!!!

Hummm, for reasons unknown to me, one of Saturday Night Live`s BEST skits is simply NOT to be found on YouTube or ANY other video host!
Season 4 Episode 18:
Best I can Find

Miles Cowperthwaite Parts 1 and 2. (idk which one this transcript is from, it`s the one I wanted to find though)

ANY idea why THIS particular skit is deleted from the interwebs?

For the misguided nerds, the kanji is read as yakko or yatsu in japanese. And it is a single character consisting of two elements. The left part "woman" is the radical.

Anyways, like the tattoo. I have a nice leash that would go with it, just saying.. :D

And about hte original pic of this thread: well, it makes you think a bit. What kind of a statement is it, to have the face of a guerilla leader on you a55? What kind of a statement will it be, should the girl get the runs from bathing in a public pool for example?

I didn`t say I was a "whore". I don`t get paid to have sex, and nor have I had more sexual partners than the average woman (which is what men like you usually mean when they use that word). Interesting that you`d take that from what I said, though. Do all women fall into "virgins" (=your sister and your mother, perhaps) or "whore" (=women who aren`t interested in you) categories? Did you to know that rapists typically view women as falling within those two artificially-narrow categories too?

And we like being cave men.
I know. I`ve worked up close and personal with men in several environments, remember. From that experience, I also know that a certain percentage of straight men still don`t trust gay men to "keep their hands to themselves" (usually it`s the ugliest, most repulsive specimens that have the cheek to say that; I think it makes them feel more attractive). And they make jokes about not dropping the soap in the shower, and attribute everything from campness to liking dressing in women`s clothing to all gay men. They say all of the above whilst gay men aren`t around to hear it. But the fact these attitudes continue to go on within a percentage of straight men doesn`t make those attitudes right. And it says more about the people that hold those views than the people the views are about.

Yes, that`s right. It literally means "woman under a man`s hand", or, as someone suggested earlier, in its more modern interpretation "slave". It`s a bit "politically incorrect" these days, but at the time kanji was devised, it was mostly women that did live in actual slavery, hence the literal meaning. These days, it`s used as a semi-secret symbol within the BDSM community to indicate female submissiveness within that setting. A bit like the handkerchief codes that a certain element of the gay community uses as a form of mutual recognition.
And last question is chinese or japanese?
Kanji symbols are used in both Japanese, and in several of the Chinese languages, including Mandarin. They`re `symbols` more than sounds, and their pronunciation can vary widely depending on which speaker is reading the text. They still communicate common concepts, though. A bit like the way Western speakers can understand numbers the same as one another and use them to indicate consistent ideas about quantity, but we pronounce them entirely differently depending on whether we`re speaking Italiano or English.

I`m laughing my ass off right now, because MacGuffin`s tattoo actually means "slave". Seriously, here`s the character, look it up on google translate - "奴". I think the character she was looking for was actually "女", which does mean woman/female in Chinese (notice that it`s the same as the first half of Guff`s tattoo). They`re both pronounced "nu" and they`re etymologically related, but they have TOTALLY different meanings.

In summation, MacGuffin, you`re an idiot.

@ SmagBoy1 - I like your Deathly Hallows tat.

@ MacGuffin, like it or not, it`s a Tramp Stamp. That`s what a tattoo in that location is called. If the name bothers you you souldn`t have gotten one there. To paraphrase The Bard, "A rose by any other name doesn`t cry over spilled bathwater."

However, I`ll say this, I was surprised you had such a nice figure. From your surly, choleric disposition I had thought you were a more solid gal. ya know...beefy. Well done you.

No, older people are kind of cool. I mentioned a art deco style Burlesque club I sometimes go to in Glasgow a while back that plays old time big band tunes from the forties and fifties mixed in with modern music. One of the nice things about that place is the mix of crowd you get there: everything from late teens to people that have retired, all enjoying stepping back in time to a different era together. I only mentioned age in my comments about "thirty-something virgins", because it seems to be people that have never got laid in their lives by an age they really should have that trot out that embittered BS about tramp stamps {present company excepted of course, Gerry and Buiadh ;) }. You get fuddy-duddies, eternal virgins and crashing bores of all ages.

I see nothing wrong with your tattoo, but please don`t misrepresent. That comment implies that old fuddies just don`t like tattoos. In fact your attempt to imply that it is young and hip misses the boat completely. Lower back tattoos are not a joke because they are so young and cool and hip and edgy and rare. They are a joke because they are so rampant and cliche. Every girl in my generation ran out and got a lower back tattoo or a navel piercing when they hit 18. My graduating class went en masse. Most 30 something mommies at the mall have lower back tattoos.
MacGuffin, pretty sure that this is the chinese symbol for "tramp", no matter what your artist says.
It always makes me giggle when I see blokes that get rejected by every female they meet spitting that tired old cliche out from between clenched teeth. :D
As a 29-something (on wednesday, have your cards at the ready!) allow me to say "tramp stamp" without fear of reprisals.
That would appear to be an indirect admission of virginity on your part, Buiadh. Which is confusing considering you`ve mentioned being a dad. You going to share your own tattoo with IAB then?

PS: It`s my birthday this month too - on the 18th.

Yes, she has a nice arse and a way cool bikini, but does she have one of these*?

* First one of you thirty-something virgins that mutters the phrase "tramp stamp" incoherently whilst avoiding eye contact before running off to play Scrabble with your mum gets a free sammich - a knuckle sammich!

Heyy IAB`ers i`ve come to the latest post to ask if anyone here knows the deal with that whole RIAA download policing thing. People on IAB usually seem very informed. I can`t really find any recent news on it, I`m just curious though cause i want to pirate poo like a drating pirate.

First to say that Che was a guerrilla commando who helped Fidel Castro gain power in Cuba. He had a reputation for being particularly brutal when it was completely unnecessary and his tactics were exactly the sort of thing that people who wear Che t-shirts complain about modern soldiers doing.

Also, that booty looks sunburned.
