This album review is a bit lengthier, but still makes the same point.

Ok, I`ll settle this: We`ll send "Breezy" to The Wall. There all of your crimes are forgiven and he`d get all the outdoors time he needs, provided he doesn`t mind a bit of cold.

Yes. that would be fair. first off... no one is ENTITLED to anything. second... we are all responsible for our own choices and actions, some of those actions (in particular actions that hurt others) have consequences, some of which may or may not include public ostracizing . the solution to such "unfairness" is pretty simple. don`t hurt others. and it`s not a "denial" of privilege; choosing not to support someone after they have done something so terrible is as much a "right" as it is for said offender to "earn a living."

gerry,

Not allowed? Of course he`s allowed to earn a living, just like you and me. Criticism is not censorship. I`m sure he has made a shed-load of money over the years, so welfare and turning to crime would hardly make him society`s victim.

What about Gary Glitter? Now there is someone who has really been denied the right to make a living in his chosen field. OK, raping kids is pretty crappy, but do we really want to end his career just because we disaprove of some things he has done in his personal life?

Just because someone has shown themselve to be be fair loathsome as a person, should they be deprived of privilege, toadies and entitlement? Is that fair?

McGovern, if talent were required to make music there wouldn`t be any Justin Biebers for little girls to cry over. Nor any Miley Cyrus`s for me to pick on and abuse. Not to mention Katy Perry who is more about what she wears than how she sings. Without talentless people it would be a world without Boy Bands... [thinkss] oh, I see what you mean now...nevermind.
Music Critics {professionals?} decide he should not make any more music because he beat his girl.
I think it`s more because if you have any taste in music you can see how crappy generic 4/4 beats and autotune are.

Okay, hitting a woman is crappy, awful thing to do, but the guy`s not allowed to earn a living now? Music Critics {professionals?} decide he should not make any more music because he beat his girl.

Then be prepared to support him the rest of his life. Either welfare on after he commits a crime, you will.

Make him notorious enough and this could back fire with douche bags flocking to buy his album just for a reaction.

Vick also does a LOT for awareness projects and the like now. As a pit owner, I still wouldn`t attempt to be friends with Vick if the opportunity presented intself, but I can admit he`s put in a LOT of work to try to redeem himself in my eyes. As a lover of women in general, can`t really say the same for Brown.

Again, I propose a hunting season for non-nice individuals.

Would make this place sooo much nicer in the long run..

To answer your question, Vick paid a price and did his time, and presently doesn`t publicly (to my knowledge) go around being a douche-bag.

Brown beat a woman, and seemly hasn`t changed his f*cktard ways in general, hence he is given no slack whatsoever.
