Long story short - a small trick to see the capilaries that lay in front of your light receptors in your eye.

COOL - I could see the network of capilaries in my eye that are always there in my vision yet are filtered out by my brain. Little branches of capilaries, neato.

I can`t get it to work. Am I supposed to hold my hand right up to my eyeball so light doesn`t come in from around it? And does it work immediately or do I have to do it until the tunnel vision effect occurs?

    Yeah totally worked. Cool stuff
That first panel he did about the blind spot should be exhibit A for the creationist who believe that anything as perfect as an eye has to be designed.
It`s not perfect just a work in progress.

Make a little hole with your forefinger and hold it right up to your eye so you are looking through it. Look at a white screen and move it around in a circle. It happens pretty quickly.

sutra46, more than that! It should be enough proof of our flawed senses and the brain`s deliberate misrepresentation of the world for the faithful to question exactly how they sense God`s presence.

Flawed senses: We do not see what is there (the capillaries).
Deliberate misrepresentation: We see what is not there (the brain fills in the blind spot).

Without a "sense" of God, religion is nothing more than a fairytale. If the brain is manufacturing that God sense, which brain studies have shown to be true, then...

@nottaspy, exactly ! There should be a should be scientific study of why we have the God `sense` as you call it.
With very few exceptions all cultures do have the `Super power` overseeing life. Why is that? Me thinks it`s our mammalian.brain design. As an infantyolks are wired to cry for help which is answered. We are taken care of & that part of. lOur developed brain is then happy to replace parent with `God`. In our adulthood.
This does not mean an external exisitance of God.
