THERE IS NO MEDIA COVER UP BECAUSE they do this poo every weekend. Plus....first they want to take down the TV companies and then they get upset because they weren`t on TV. Total Bullpoo

Also....This is the minority that lost the presidential ELECTION and who refuse to accept the results calling out BULLpoo. Just because you lost doesn`t mean fraud. You WON`T GET YOUR CANDIDATE IN BY CLAIMING FRAUD.

Mexico shouldn`t be part of North America. The farther south-the more screwed up.

Why would Mexican politics be a mass-media issue in the UK? It`s not a cover-up. It`s a lack of interest. There was a political demonstration in some place thousands of miles away that has no connection to the UK. Not front page material. Maybe a bit of coverage in the international politics section of news sources that have an international politics section.

I`m confident that if I stopped 100 people in the street tomorrow, the most that anyone could say about Mexico would be "it`s in south America and they make tequila there".

If no one cares about the election frauds in the United States, why should the U.S. care about it in Mexico?

Well, I`m mexican. I was in a march. We`re trying to make international awareness. We`re not antidemocratic. There are many things you need to know:

-The PRI has committed great abuse in our country, making deals with drug cartels, assassinating students and journalist for over 70 years.

-The mexican media is bought. You can`t rely on them. Some weeks ago there was a HUGE march, like really really huge. And it didn`t make it to the news, instead, Televisa (the media company) put on the news a wedding of a celebrity.

-The elections were not democratic. The PRI used the money they steal from our taxes to buy votes. They also used some drug cartels to kidnap people who are really poor to get them to vote for them.

-We also have never had democratic elections. 6 years ago there was fraud, it`s on wikileaks. 12 years ago, Vicente Fox, was on power because Coca Cola bought the elections, so they could take over some water springs in Chiapas.

Didn`t read the article, since it`s probably overly left-or-right-winged in nature anyways, but judging from what I`ve heard about it and from Mexico`s history with political parties, I`d say the March was understandable and not really "anti-democratic".

After all, the PRI "winning" the election sounds fishy, considering it once controlled Mexico for 90 years through explicitly corrupt means. 90 years which, might I add, were filled with outright political and social turmoil. i.e. A big reason why Mexico`s in as crappy of a situation as it is today.

Also, to those saying it`s good that we haven`t covered this in the US: Newsflash, we`re in the middle of a very dangerous drug war with Mexico, which shares a border with us. With a corrupt political party in power, the violence along the southwestern states is only going to proliferate.

At the very least it makes more sense to cover this on the news than something like freaking TomKat`s divo

The PAN is being painted as a far left party that wants to take Mexico down the route taken by Hugo Chavez in Venezuela - a little unfair IMHO. Why do some people think that being socially responsible politically equates to communism?

(Morning Star newspaper - definitely communist BTW)

randomxnp - That`s what I was thinking. It has absolutely nothing to do with us. Why the hell would they report it on our news?

I get sick to death of seeing news that doesn`t pertain to our country as it is, I`m glad to hear we haven`t heard anything about this.

Bordering on communist? It is openly communist.

I-A-B would you publish an article by the Front Nationale, BNP, a true neo-Nazi party or any other racist, nationalist left-wing political entity? This is an article by communists.

it is also, of course, ridiculous. Why would anyone in the UK give a damn about a small march by a bunch of self-righteous, anti-democratic socialists in Mexico?

I`m in the US, I heard about this on the news. There is no issue here. This paper, however, is verging in on communism in ideology and I don`t advise reading it any more than I would reading a fascist paper.
