What if, in a few thousand years, this is all they find of our generation?

it is some sort of reality altering device. our ancestors used it to control and alter their world around them, this was probably the cause of their extinction since whatever they wanted they could get simply by the push of these buttons. Bored of what they have and no longer have meaning for life, they attempted mass suicide by the millions, soon dwindling their society to a select few, the technology was soon forgotten and a new race of humans now walk our earth. We should learn from our mistakes and cherish the lives we have and never dwell on what might be.

The moral of the story: Never feed old consoles to livestock.

I like the older technologies he did, like the 3.5 disk, cassette tape, rotary phone etc. The game controllers (escpecially the N64 and PS) are still a little current.

I`d like to see him do one of those older Nokia 3310 phones, but it still have full battery life as a fossil.

Controllers wouldnt fossilise like this...the different materials could last long enough independently to make a multi-textured fossil, but its unlikely that any of this would happen.

However, the likelihood of human fossilisation is incredibly low. the fossils we have found of humans are few and far between. With ammonites, trillions of individuals were living, whereas there is only a few billion humans

nothing we make today has enough staying power to stand the test of time in a disposable world

@Kegomatix, I couldn`t agree more, but you missed Banjo Kazooie as Mr. Lips pointed out.

Nintendo 64 is one of the great systems. I was a big fan of Banjo and Kazooie, and of course Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye Star Fox, Mario 64, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Perfect Dark just to name a few. I felt it was a great console.

Probably designed by some ancient three handed alien race.

Weird alien design. Maybe it`s a prop from PROMETHEUS

Mario 64 is still my favorite Mario game ever. It was epic. I loved the Nintendo 64. Star Fox 64 was a close second!

As much as I`m willing to blame a lot of 90`s fondness on nostalgia, Buiadh, I actually think the N64 was a legitimately good system. Majora`s Mask was and is an absolute masterpiece, in my opinion. And a lot of the multiplayer games have aged well--it`s still fun to gather around.

@MacGuffin: And our swimming pools were used to store water for the drought season!

I can just see the blob-like mesomorphic future human museum tour guide now: "And, as you can see, homo sapiens appears to have had three hands. This particular medical device - known as a Nine Ten Do after the number of sheep they used to have to count before dropping off - was used to store their memories whilst they slept, which would be re-inserted in the morning".
