That IS everything wrong with politics. It`s not a partisan problem either, it is ridiculous that someone can amend a bill with a provision that has absolutely nothing to do with the bill`s purpose, the only reason they do it is to put it on a bill that will definitely pass. Why is this even allowed?

There was legislation proposed in Mississippi that tried define life as beginning at conception. MS voters struck it down. I highly doubt this will get passed, and if it does, it will be struck down by the supreme court. It`s probably backed by the same organization as the one that tried to get MS`s legislation through. I can`t remember the name of it, but it`s basically a money making scam.

It sucks, but it isn`t new news. This happens more often than it should, but it`s all about the money. Happens on both sides.

Watch the voters re-elect that idiot again, too.
Look at the comments on the article, mindless idiots regurgitating the same sad old black and white arguments about how all wrongs are the fault of with no care that no issue is actually black and white. Meanwhile, asshats like that remain in power because the people are too busy fighting to bother doing something about it.
US politics are like the WWE. It`s all staged drama where the masses pick a side they identify with, defend it, root for it, and fight each other over it. All the while the people running the show almost never live by their stage appearance and sit back laughing at us as they collect our money. Just like the WWE there is an alarming number of people who think it`s all real.

When news stories like this are posted can we start providing links that aren`t to breitbart or thinkprogress? Hell, even fox news or CNN would be better than these.

patch, I agree it`s non-partisan in that neither side should be pulling this poo and the voters on neither side should defend it. Sadly, if you look at the comments on the article most people just want to bash the other side.

It is real simple. Rand Paul is a smart and fair minded libertarian. The Flood Bill puts up millions of taxpayer money. Money the government does not have to spend. Paul is well know to be against it, but does not have the power to stop leaders from bringing it to a vote. Put an amendment on it that will kill it, and excite your base at the same time. Bill is dead, idiot republicans claim victory and descrimination at the same time. Rand Paul, saved taxpayers millions of dollars.

Rand Paul is the exact opposite of Ron Paul and proof that people do not want real game changers in DC (AKA Ron P.) but business as usual moronic politicians that will stoop to any level to get their way...or their corporate overlord`s way.

He used the process to torpedo the bill. It`s not really his fault for taking advantage of the way our system works. It just indicates the system needs to be changed.

When life begins? . . . Life only ends it has no beginning. The sperm is not dead and the egg is not dead . . . I still support abortion.
