Link: Recently Found: The Making Of Return Of The Jedi - Some guy named Jeff Broz snuck a camcorder on the sandy sets of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. The footage just surfaced

Seems to be an 8mm film. Not camcorder footage. I can tell by the pixels...

I doubt anyone could "sneak" a 1983 camcorder onto a closed set for what was one of the most anticipated films in history.

If this was just a camcorder it would be pretty lame. Being 8mm it ads a real cool affect.

Really? "Filmed with Sand-o-Vision, Making films grittier!" This didn`t need to get grittier. Interesting material for a star wars enthusiast, but it was very annoying to watch.

The sad thing is: If Jedi was made today - This guy would have been filming a bunch of costumed actors behind a bit of real railing and an ocean of green screen. Lucas & co. wouldn`t have bothered to build the barge... That`s part of the reason the original trilogy has REAL magic.
