    This is just about the very worst way to make a graphical representation of this information. Just have the items side by side with the year predicted and developed under them.

    Yup! I knew he was a good "technical" writer but had forgotten how imaginative he also was.

    I cannot stress how much "All Summer in a Day" means to me. What a great loss. Yes, yes, go and read something that he wrote!! Anything!

    They weren`t so much predictions as opposed to foundations for scientists to work with. It`s the same with Jules Verne. Scientists read things like this and begin thinking about how they can make it happen. While I`m not diminishing his contribution in any way, because he was a visionary, he just was not a prognosticator.
