Crap idea. Those trash chute holes gets all dirty all around and even under and it`s hard to clean. I prefer a mobile choping board made of wood. Easy to remplace when it`s overused and you can cut everything wherever you feel comfortable doing so.

    Nothing beats that.

So...how do you carry it to your cooking vessel of choice to slide the chopped items off it?

It`s too big to wash in a sink and it`s made of wood, which is much more unsanitary than one made of plastic.

A drawer mount like that is going to be unstable and bouncy; over time, as you put a lot of pressure on the board, it`s going to get worse and worse; even regular drawers, if left open a long time, start to get misaligned--this one wouldn`t last long at all w/someone chopping stuff on it all the time.

That`s too damn low, anyone other than the shortest of shorties will kill their back trying to cut on that.

Too low, too hard to wash, and too easy for food to fall on the floor. Plus, I`d probably break it.

Not true mcboozerilla - I know they keep changing their mind every couple years, but the latest conclusion is that wood actually contains antimicrobial PROPERTIES even after severance, and plastic is actually porous enough to RETAIN bacterium even after washing. Who knows though, really.
