If I were the principal, I would expel them for the next entire school year. Let their parents pay private school tuition for a year to punish them for raising such rotten, worthless children. They could come back the following year only depending on their disciplinary records from the other school, but they`d be banned from riding the bus permanently.

Punishment for the perps in this video ?? Public caning, then off to four weeks of gloves-off Marine boot camp....

And video the whole thing and put it on the net...

"Bus monitor?" What`s that? It`s not like teachers have absolutely any kind of power over controling kids anymore. We didn`t have bus monitors in my dad, kids were just allowed to raise complete and utter hell on the bus. Man did it suck.

It`s now up to over $400,000. This woman can retire and be happy away from those rotten kids.

I love how most of the comments here are in support of disciplining the students involved while any of the other articles about discipline here are met with "OMG, that person should be fired!!!" or "What a terrible parent!!!"

I don`t care if it was considered bullying or not, this is first and foremost a woman and an elderly one at that. Kids shouldn`t be talking to and disrespecting her. I just hope their parents were decent enough to correct their behavior.
I`d like to take a ride on that bus...I`d put them straight and I bet they`d learn some manners.

I love how some are saying it`s not a big deal but get up in arms over physical bullying. Why don`t you come over to my house, let`s talk. ;)

"As completely terrible as these kids are being, she should have just sat there and ignored it. They were obviously just thinking of the most terrible things to say to her to get a reaction out of her, so she shouldn`t have taken anything they said seriously. Sure she is overweight, but would that really make you cry? I`m sure she already knew she was over weight."

Yeah well, that whole sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me is a big load horse manure

This is horrible, I don`t blame her for crying..words hurt and I don`t care how old someone is, especially when you are ganged up apon like that.I hope the kids receive proper disciplinary actions for what they did.

This is what happens when kids brought up on a steady diet of giving out internet abuse and having no repercussions then think its acceptable to then behave like that in real life. I don`t necessarily think kids are getting worse nowadays but I do think with the invention of the internet kids are becoming less empathetic towards people in general and more so to the elderly since they tend now to be shunned for the perception of being a drain on society. What children need from an early age is to interact with life and the people around them and learn that not all they say is acceptable. This is a failure on their parents side for doing the easy thing and letting the their kids grow up in an isolated environment with nothing but their peers for reinfrocement.

Guys- being teased in school is a normal thing.

Teasing an elderly lady???

I didn`t dare mouth off to an adult when I was in middle school (even high school) let alone TEASE one.

Don`t start acting like she doesn`t deserve this because you didn`t get money for it as a kid.

I don`t blame her. She`s older, obviously been through a lot. People have limits. I wouldn`t expect her to have to tough that one out. She was in a difficult spot, what was she going to do? She couldn`t fight the kids. I hope she enjoys her vacation, or retires with that money so she doesn`t have to do this anymore.

@yusuksomuch - "...european style uber-thought control societies..."

Do you mean those same societies which supplied the only unbiased news sources available to thinking U.S citizens during Bush`s war campaign?

And do I even need to mention the most powerful thought-control factory in history? (Thanks for all those Hollywood films btw, we just love having them clog up the multi-screens we never wanted.)

the sad thing is those kids (actually im wrong. the correct is "no kids") will/would ever be punished for that. in older days when a kid got bad grades (just an example) the parents would punish the kid for not trying hard. now they will go and accuse the teacher of being a bad one. those kids in the vid and almost all other all over Eu/US/etc etc have the same treatment, which is that of a spoiled little prince. no wonder that happened. no wonder it will happen again.i feel really sorry for her...

Right, and Euro style uber-socialism produces vicious adults that riot and sometimes kill people after football games.

Those kids are pieces of poo. If I was a teacher, on that bus, I would have beat the crap out of those kids, got fired and started looking for a new job. It would have been well worth it.

What the heck are we doing to our kids that they think it`s Ok to talk to adults this way? When I was a kid, I would have been smacked for talking like this.

@Silverbacked - I agree with you in some sense, but at the same time, should you really need to refrain yourself from behaving like this because you know you will receive punishment? It shouldn`t even cross their minds to behave in such a way, and no one but the parents can blamed for that.

The thing is those kids know they can`t get into any real trouble. That is what has happened to many of our school systems in this country. This is a learned behavior, they have seen this some where and they know there will be no real punishment handed out. This is what is making teaching a very hard job to do,

I saw this earlier and thought it was appalling. As I said in an earlier post, kids today have no souls. This grandmother removed her sunglasses to cry (whether she really was or not) to hopefully teach these kids some empathy. No such luck.

If these were my kids and I found out about it, I`d be horrified and immediately figure out a way to fix my kid so they were somewhat human because I saw no signs of that on this video.

SICKENING!!!
