You know, if you don`t harpoon them or lock them up in a big `ol swimming pool and force them to work for scraps, they`re actually fairly gentle.

That is the absolute most terrifying thing I`ve ever seen in my life. What do they call a phobia of whales???

OK, so they are not about to attack or swallow him. But they are bloody enormous. If I had the diving skills I might just give that a go. More awesome (in the proper sense) than scary.

`What do they call a phobia of whales???`

Cetaphobia is a term that I`m not sure is recognized by dictionaries just yet, but it`s the closest I can think of.

It`d be ballsy if they were sperm whales. No other whale would think of eating a human, but a sperm whale might. The draters eat giant fu*king squid for crying out loud.

Sperm Whale? They eat little squid. You don`t think an Orca might be tempted??? These are humpbacks, they have baleen which means they filter feed. Duh.

Or I might be wrong they could be blue whale, which eat little fish like sperm whale, either way they are harmless.

If they waved a flipper in the right direction he could easily drown. If they decided he was a threat they would smash all his bones.

I can think of way more things in the ocean I would be afraid of rather than whales.

He`s probably in no danger as long as there`s no mother and calf. Otherwise, that is not a mother you want to piss off.

It`s fairly safe to swim with humpbacks; they offer tours and retreats for it.

You could potentially be knocked unconscious or worse if a flipper hit you, but that`s generally the only thing to worry about.
