    Can we tax churches yet?

This organization is in hoping to get a 501(c)3 charitable organization status which would make all donations tax deductible. This is an organization that instructs Catholics how to vote with un-taxable income.

I can put up with religion.

I mean it`s complete bullpoo. But I can live and let live.

But when it involves itself in politics, when it claims itself an equal in the running of a country, it can get to f*ck.

Good for them! It`s well within their rights to make this video and say this.

I await the liberals HOWLING about it though! lolz!

Blacks vote to support black rights = OK
Women vote to support women`s rights = OK
Gays vote to support gay rights = OK
Catholics vote to support Catholic rights = OH HECK NO!!!

Seperation of Church and State people: Obama crossed that line and it`s high time someone called him on it.

Anyone who wants to vote according to Catholic doctrine is going to find it very difficult in the USA. Democrats are more likely to be in favor of a woman`s right to choose, but opposed to the death penalty. Republicans generally are anti-abortion but pro-death penalty. The Pope is opposed to both. Good luck.

I wonder if they realize the people in the pews aren`t listening anymore, seriously, there`s a major disconnect between the average rank and file and their rabid leadership.

Also, if the RR wants to talk "religious freedom" their gonna have to suck up some of their other well documented prejudices:

5cats, human rights trumps churches rights to violate them, especially when the staff and patients are not primarily catholic, and the catholic hospitals can be the only choice offered for some people.

The impact of Catholic institutions currently far exceeds the number of Catholics in America; Catholic hospitals, for instance, took well over 100 million visits and admissions in 2009, while there are just over 68 million Catholics in America. The doctors, nurses, and staff at Catholic hospitals are not primarily Catholic, and most importantly, the patients are not primarily Catholic. Catholic Charities USA, one of many Catholic charities, alone served almost 10 million people in 2009; the US Conference of Catholic Bishops oversees the federal program to serve victims of human trafficking and sex slavery; the list goes on—and none of these services “has the inculcation of religious values as its purpose.”

@Buiadh: Really? ObamaCare forces religious groups to provide abortifacts through their healthcare. When the Cathilic Church objected to Government-forced healthcare forcing them to pay for abortion pills, Obama said "It`s OK, we`ll just make the Insurance Companies give it out for free, then you`re not paying for it!"

Really and truely, the PotUS thinks Insurance Companies give stuff out for free.

No one is stopping these women from getting conraceptives, or abortions, at all.

This is the origin of the phoney "War On Women" campaign launced by the Dems to distract from the fact the PotUS is a simpleton...

Vv We`ve been over this, like, a thousand times. There is no coverage for abortifacients in Health Care Reform. It`s an empirical fact, there`s evidence and it can be measured and stuff. It`s not subjective like weather or not you like this piece of art.

I really don`t understand why birth control should part of health care insurance. It`s not a necessity to maintain health, cure disease, etc.

I want to get a motorcycle but I can`t afford a helmet. Maybe my health insurance should provide it.

Oh how I love the "Obama crossed the line" with regards to insurance. But when Bush started faith-based initiatives, you know giving money to religious groups who don`t pay taxes, not a single one of them complained.

It`s nice to know that at the end of the day, regardless of whatever views a group may have, money always wins in the end.

Wow. What the flying ?? Do "Christians" actually understand freedom? I love it when a religious person is against abortions and believe the child up for adoption. Do they not realise that the orphanage`s are at like max capacity in America? Also do they not realise the more people there are in the world, the more food and money is needed for that one child. I laugh when they also are against abortions but are for the death penalty. Silly Christians, politics are for intelligent people. **note that when I refer to religious people, I know that not all religious people are like this and I am only referring to the extra-crazy ones.

@QueenZira: @LillianDulci and I had a discussion about this it`s true. We came to realize that : A)abortificats ARE specifically included in ObamaCare and B)the "morning after pill" works several days after sex, making it an abortion pill, not just prevention.

Also: C) Obama is SO IGNORENT of economic reality he honestly believes Insurance Companies will give stuff away FOR FREE!

Something NOT ONE liberal IABer has addressed...

Let`s try this one more time.

Christians do not own the concept of marriage. Marriage is FAR older than Christianity.

so, give that, you can hardly decide for everyone else who can or cannot get married.

anyone trying to stop another person from marrying the person they love is nothing more than a bigot.

stop hiding behind your BS excuse of religious beliefs.

Crakr, the bishops are whining about what insurance employees of catholic institutions can get, whether or not those employees happen to be catholic. And whether or not patients of catholic hospitals get insurance, catholic or not. It affects everyone.

The only part of Health Care Reform currently being argued before SCOTUS is the Individual Mandate, ie. get insurance or be fined for not having insurance. Which Rs were totally ok with not yet 20 yrs ago (my how times have changed). All the other stuff, like birth control coverage/ kids stay on their parent`s insurance until age 26, is not being litigated.

Zira: The whole bill will be throw out on it`s ear because the other parts of the bill are dependent on the individual mandate.

I don`t expect you to have listened to the whole of each sides arguments in front of the Supreme Court, most people haven`t. It`s hours long, very detailed and, unless you`re very legally astute, would likely bore you to death.

It was discussed at considerable length that the bill could not stand on it`s own without the mandate and it was obvious that the `Supremes` didn`t believe that it could and thus the whole house of cards would have to fall.

Obama`s grand scheme for socialized health care is about to fail. What makes that failure even more significant is that for those 2 years he could`ve worked on and passed a budget, speaking of which we still don`t have one.
