Link: The Egg Sprinkler Mystery - An investigation into the reason why eggs (and other spheres) spray liquid at their `equators` when spun.

So add a tesla coil to the spinner. Make 2 of `em then see if there is an energy shield. One up one down. Like a sharksuit on land. There I said it.

Is this supposed to be a joke or were these people absolutely stoned out of the brains when they couldn`t come up with the obvious answer.

Didn`t quite need three people to explain it, but kind of interesting, anyway.

I wonder how high you could get a liquid if you were to spin a cone, rather than a spheroid.

Wouldn`t have asked if you didn`t care. ;]

I`m not, it`s just that this is a standard 7th grade science experiment. I can`t figure out why these people act like it`s such a mystery, unless this is an educational video for 7th graders, in which case I`d have to wonder why it`s being posted here.

Interesting link. It`s a completely different principle, but it reminds me a bit of superfluidity in liquid helium.

Yeah I hate it when every time I boil an egg people put milk on the side and spin the egg through it (litterally never happened in my entire bloody life). For the millionth time people stop exagerating.

Given that this was done at the Y, I doubt they were stoned. I mean, sure, some people there might be, but there is a reason it is consistently voted the #1 Stone Cold Sober school in the nation.

I thought this as well. A gross misuse of the word "mystery."

@leesah & pfkdxius: To actually figure this out mathematically you need more than 7th grade physics..

I`m going to say that most of us have been through "7th grade" science class. I`ll also say that not everyone did an experiment anything like this, and I am one of them. So I found this kind of interesting. Besides... why can`t we take another look at a video, whether we learned about the subject or not? What does it hurt?

And leesah, I most definitely do not care :D Please don`t misunderstand the rhetorical question.

Kind of a simplistic "experiment" for a college engineering student, wouldn`t you say?

Most of us should have learned about this poo in grade school.

Another mystery explained by science. Scientists are killing God a little bit at a time. The million dollar grant was therefore probably worth it.
