For someone who appears to spend a lot of his time finding corpses of people who can`t take life any more, he has a beautiful outlook on life

It`s just behind the Golden Gate Bridge in suicide numbers per year.

that skeleton part seemed fake to me. i mean they discover a body, but are they going to report it later? and also there was a camry key next to the body which looked brand new...

@Francakes, when he enters the forest he shows us a sign with a suicide hotline number on it.

Very interesting, not sure why people would complain about the subject matter...you know the scrap book of life isn`t all happy moments...very poignant that people go there to die "alone", but in the end they were never alone

Sad, nice bloke though.

I read about this on Cracked a while back. Apparently there are those who look for bodies with a view to looting them.

So why is there no telephone hotline there like there is on the Golden Gate Bridge where far less people commit suicide every year? I just don`t get it.

Would you spend a night wandering that forrest without a light? FFFFuuuuuuuu.

I bet there are enterprising prospectors selling souvenirs on craigslist, too.

good place to make sequel to `the blair witch project` (yes I know there was a part II, but that wasn`t even a bit close to the first one)

Very sad and something I probably shouldn`t have watched when I am about ready to go to bed.

Seems like the perfect place to recruit for a cult or something...

Hmm...

BRB, I have a "business trip" to plan.

@Steelgrid
Don`t even joke about that. No seriously, TheChive is craphole.

These people need help though. One of things about Japan is "suicide" culture. Not coo. Great video.

I`ve heard of this place, and that even young couples sometimes go there when their parents forbid their being together.
It looks a lot like the woods around here, and frankly, not the kind of place I`d want to end it all.

IAB, going from funny, to gore and porn. Slowly, but you might want to just throw your hand in with TheChive.

oh, and did i mention that the family is usually held liable financially for the delays and possible damages? probably a good way to ensure the suicide rate stays high.

30 000 + people commit suicide here per annum, second highest rate among the OECD countries. sadly, the main cause of commuter trains being delayed is people jumping in front of them. i`m always amazed that people`s main reaction seems to be being annoyed at running 10 min ... :-(

When I was on deployment in Okinawa we went to see Mt Fuji on a 96 (4 day weekend in USMC speak) and saw this place. It`s very unsettling being there and knowing how many people go in there with the sole purpose of not coming back.
