@ChainsawNbud nope, and its not too complicated actually.
The dopplereffect was already used in ww II radars (only with radar waves instead of sound) to filter (moving) planes from (floating / stationary) chaffs.
this will get interesting if more than one soundwave is running though.

This is basically STARTING as archaic. Tsk Tsk, Gupta and friends... Heck, my mouse`s scroll wheel is better at scrolling with WAY less movement.

WTF is Droppler? How can you NOT manage to copy the title of the video correctly? "DOPPLER"! Attention to detail people!

I have a special interface for word processing and simple drawing that responds exactly to the movements of my hand and produces and instant hard copy. Not only that, it`s wireless and completely mobile.

I don`t want to sound the miserable turd on this subject but some of it just sounds so pointless. It`s like Apple products, they change the way doing something simple is to doing something that can end in frustration. Same with Xbox Kinect. A mouse and keyboard are fine and trying to redefine a button click with hand gestures serves no purpose other than to look cool. What is so hard about using a mouse to scroll up or down a webpage?

Way too much effort to scroll, it`s not just gesturing, but doing it fast. Wouldn`t take long too get tired from scrolling, sure you`d build stamina over time. I`ll stick to the scroll wheel thanks.

This doesn`t look useful at all...
Maybe the "walk towards, computer on; walk away, computer off", but that`s about it.

Dumb, near-useless integration and far from ready for the market, but a proof of principle for potential future use.

Very cool how they utilize sound waves but an awkward series of hand gestures will never replace a simple mouse movement. These couldn`t look more ridiculous.

In my noisy office this would create total chaos.

This seems like more work than using a keyboard and mouse.

And Gerry wins.

Moving your hand up and down makes the screen scroll up and down.
Then how do you keep the screen still when you`re fapping?

Technology FAIL
