Never heard of said gun ban thing. Might be true, might not be true. Anybody can say anything in cyber space. The whole pointing the gun at the president...yeah better get the SS over their right away...Ted Nugent`s probably with him.

And shouldn`t there be a comma between Ban and gun?

You guys all know where I stand politically, but AddictingInfo is basically Breitbart for liberals. In other words, reinterpreting the news to fit an agenda, and making assertions about things that aren`t there for a readership that doesn`t want to think about what they`re reading.

If you compare the size of the gun to the size of their heads, it`s obvious that the gun, if it really were in the same picture, would be several feet behind them and therefore, it could not be a threat. This is controversy is just a bunch of liberal bull$#!+ trying to smear and slander your political opponents...as usual.

Trying to ban guns is a poisonous issue at that level of politics. Reagan was able to push for the Bradey Bill because he and Bradey were shot, but short of another assassination attempt no POTUS is going to take a stand against guns if they have any hope of getting re-elected. At least not in the current culture.

I think the only thing that offends this particular subset of gun owners more than the thought of people trying to take their guns... is the fact that no one really is, and they REALLY want them to try.

`...the stupid drating crosshair poo Palin had to put up with.`

At least Palin didn`t have to put up with being shot in the head.

I`m not anti-gun and if I lived in the States I`d probably own one (and take classes) but using cross-hairs and gun imagery while telling the gun-enthusiasts that they are coming for you is irresponsible.

you already made up your mind about this before you really even read the article...which I doubt you read.

now, tell me I am wrong. tell me you thought this through carefully, considered the angles and then came here to make your statement.

MORE LIKELY, you read the headline, and the wheels of republican justification already started turning.

for that reason you and anything you say will always be invalid.

Rand Paul is certainly not his father...who I am planning to vote for.

however, aside from that, republicans have been getting way to violent in their statements and considering Palin put a target on one and that one DID GET SHOT, maybe we should tone down the "I am a hairy chested alpha male" statements and return to some type of civic minded discussion...

Palin put cross hairs on a democrat and some idiotic republican shot her...

And if the rifle pointed the other way?
Ryan`s Letter Falsely Says Obama is threatening him!

And if it pointed to the rear of the page?
Ryan`s Letter Encourages readers to take up arms against the Gov`t: Treason!!

    And if it ponted outward?
    Ryan Points Gun at readers!

In other words: ANY excuse to portray Obama as "the victem" will be pounced upon by the MSM. Real? Imagines? Faked? It makes NO difference.

you seemed to completely dimiss the whole part about how the "million gun ban" was FALSE as there is no such idea being tossed around by Obama.

so, you excuse this as nothing more than liberal BS, find, but not even dealing with the fact that it is an out and out lie...come on even YOU cannot justify this type of republican BS.

You seem to have completely missed the part where this is about the ban of over 800,000 imported M1 carbines from Korea. Which did happen.

Wow people do some research, Obama has spent his entire career, up until his decision to run for president, being one of the most "gun hating" elected officials. Especially with the false flag event of the Holder gun scandal. If he is reelected, gun rights will be a major concern.

Exactly my point, Wareagle; Up until he was president. No president that hasn`t been shot at is going to take a real stand for gun control. It will end their legacy, for good or for ill. They may try, but they will lose.

But having red up some more on it, this sounds like a misunderstanding slash import/export issue. Possibly even, from what I`m reading, that the ATF fed the state department misleading information about the guns, and the decision to ban them wasn`t made with all the facts in the right order.

I`m hardly pro-gun, but if we are dealing with a collector`s item (american made weapons that saw service during the Korean war) then maybe this is a topic that does needs more attention. I just wish I didn`t have to google for most of the night to try and gleen 3 or 4 unbiased facts in a sea of outrage and exaggeration.

come on even YOU cannot justify
@jamie76 you ASSUME that this thing I`ve never heard of before is my ONLY reason for thinking Obama plans on outlawing guns? Typical, sad and pathetic.

"Operation Fast and Furious" looikitup. It starts at the White House. Obama STILL hasn`t fired Holder (whom he appointed) and Obama and the Dems both have long histories of trying every dirty trick in the book to violate the rights of Americans.

    Even YOU can see that!

Is it bad that I`m more upset about an officially endorsed message lying about the opposition`s platform than the possible threat? It should be illegal as fraud for politicians to do that.
