He said he believes in the law of God, but hadn`t read Leviticus, which does state the death penalty.
Not the brightest lad, just vaguely aware of this thing he absolutely believes in.
Sadly, there are many like him.

Update, May 16, 10:30 a.m.: Pacquiao`s original interviewer, Granville Ampong, is now saying that he himself quoted Leviticus 20:13 in his article -- so the words "put to death" never came out of Pacquiao`s mouth.

@HolyGod: Political Debate? You begin your sentence with "So if you are destroying the environment..." THAT is not "debate" that is trolling. Your mind is MORE than `made up` and discussion over your "loaded" question is pointless.
Get it?
You`re not attempting to "engage" anyone, you`re just spouting off hoping for a reaction = troll!

Cool. I post a very specific question and you respond with an image. Maturity escalated I see. I engage you because I like political debate. This does not qualify.

I don`t see why people think it`s alright to hate gays, but then say it`s not okay to hate specific races of people, specific religions, etc.

To clarify: I don`t dislike your religion which may or may not say I`m an abomination, I dislike you for hating me without knowing me.

By the looks of things its not just News International that are full of scummy journalists.

"I can`t keep up with these sensationalists."

Not quick enough to keep up with them but quick enough to hop on their bandwagon.

"It does appear that the writer said that and not Pacquiao."

Indeed. It came out earlier that the interviewer completely fabricated his biblical response. Regardless, he`s allowed to disagree with homosexuality, even when using religion as his reasoning, especially when being non-violent about it.

New quote: " I didn`t know that quote from Leviticus because I haven`t read the Book of Leviticus yet"

Really? So you base your entire faith and belief structure on one book and you haven`t even bothered reading the whole thing yet?

Please try. I`m interested in any loosely coherent justification. Seriously. It baffles me and I need explanation.

He`s short, ugly, and christian.
I could hate him for any one of those things, but being a trilogy just makes it easier.

More than anything else why do people who are public figures speak up against Homosexuality? What are they thinking? That it will make more people like them?

As of 20 minutes ago, the writer of this piece has `updated` his story. I can`t keep up with these sensationalists.

I don`t get it. Conservatives want smaller government and less regulation, except when it comes to homos. Then government and regulation is good.

So if you are destroying the environment, distributing tools of death, selling poisonous food and products, or rigging the economy the government has no business in your affairs. But if you want to stand next to a person with similar junk and put rings on your fingers CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT!!!!!!

5cats, crakr, phantom, somebody explain this to me.

Semantics guys.

He was asked about gay marriage and he said "God`s words first ... obey God`s law first before considering the laws of man". Anybody who says that in response to that question is pointing at leviticus.

If you say the bible is right in how to view homosexuality and the bible says they should be killed, you are basically saying you think they should be killed.

No, he did not say it - the conservative magazine said it. He only stated he doesn`t believe in breaking God`s rules for marriage.

And the winner gets a FABULOUS belt!

Considering pacquiao is tattooed he may want to go back and read Leviticus 19:28.

But he didn`t. He didn`t say, `I, Manny Pacquiao, believe gay people should be put to death.` He was using the bible to express why he thought homosexuality was wrong. IAB, you have really gone downhill.

Why can`t these people get caught up on 19:19 and go picket clothing stores?
