@AvatarJohn: Remind me again, the Patriot act was signed into law under a Democrat majority or a Republican majority?

I guess we have two choices:

1) Government in your bedroom (conservative / Republican) or

2) Government in your garage, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, living room, office, at your place of work, the grocery store, the sidewalks, streets, parks, restaurants, schools, churches, forests, mountains, land, sea, air, underground and in rivers, power plants and toothpick factories and... also in your bedroom (liberal / Democrat)

My best mate is straight. I don`t care...
My housemate is lesbian. I don`t care...
My uncle is gay. I don`t care...

Consenting adults... Get over it...

I don`t mind that.I mind having to exercise my skills to feel or incorporate myself to others who butt f*ck.Not my deal or gig.Keep it to yourself,I don`t want or need to know your escapades.Simply say,I`m gay,.....and leave it at that.I`m good with that.
Goes with women too.

it all shines the same, who`s standing outside your bedroom window! Thats not what we need to illuminate, folks talk about that stuff anyway, its not sex taking down our country, its the people with the friggin flashlights! Scandal is easier to focus on, `specially when the loudest mob is providing the spotlights! Its all reflectors, to take away from whats really happening.

I agree, let`s stay out of people`s bedrooms...and stop forcing them into them as well. We don`t need to know.

"but legal marriage is different from religious marriage
religious freedom grants religions from not marrying people they dont want to
but legal marriage should be afforded to all people regardless of sexual orientation"

That`s a point many people miss. A couple can go to the justice of the peace and get married, and in the eyes of their government, they are no less married than a couple that went before a member of the clergy.

So, don`t force the clergy to perform same-sex marriages. If their religion is against it, they don`t have to do it. But don`t say that because it`s against your religion that other people who don`t follow your religion can`t do something.

im against gay marriage and straight marriage. the government should not have any laws pertaining to religious practice, remember the whole separate church and state thing? if the church doesnt want to let you into their club, start your own.
