I`ve got one of there previous version of this in my living room. It`s got my sky, xbox, wii and tv in it and the only cable i can see is one power cable because the sockets in the wrong place.

This looks really good. Will consider it when my TV dies, though it should last a few more years.

I built my own console, with a lifting mechanism that raises my television up and out of the cabinet- where it rests when not in use- houses all of my peripherals, and looks like a chest of drawers when everything is tucked away- oh, it operates with a remote as well- and looks far better than the cheesey thing that Ikea shows here.
The lumber cost around $120, the automation, general and finish hardware cost around $300. I`ve mounted the cabinet to a wall in the living room, and have a cooling fan vented inside the wall. Took about a week to build.

That looks like crap because I can`t get the brand of speakers, tv, speakers, etc that I want for my living room. I would be stuck with whatever crap they used to make this and the experience would lack because of that. So unless you only care about the fit and look of this you need to find a different option.

But what about when you want to put your cable box/digibox/freeview box in, and your Wii or whatever consoles etc? Sure there`s `extra storage` but the sensors usually need to be unblocked. I`d also need a remote control for those too.

And what about when the DVD player breaks? Can it be removed to be fixed?

Not bad though. What if you want it wall mounted?

Pretty cool for some people. I think they made a mistake with bringing up surround sound systems in the beginning when their solution doesn`t include surround sound.

He`s referring to surround sound. They claim to tidy up the cables, then only give you 2.1. 2.1 is NOT surround sound. It`s stereo with a subwoofer.

I`d love this if it had actual surround sound. Without it, it`s not good for anything IMO.

They forgot to mention the most amazing feature.. No power cord!! It is internally powered by cold fusion!
