Jamie76: After some research into the archaic measurement units you`re using I`ve come to the conclusion that you`re 6cm taller than me, 10cm taller than the EU male average and 13cm taller than the US male average.

You`re just tall.

Buiadh: Yep. I bought a US t-shirt online in my size and got one that covers my elbows and knees.

I`m 6`3 and 240lbs and spend 5-6 days a week in the gym...in other words I am not over weight.

Every time I am in Europe and need to buy a shirt I am reminded how damn small European men are.

well the exception of course is when I am in Norway and those areas, I have no trouble finding cloths that fit.

but most of the rest of Europe is populated by guys that are 5`5 and 140lbs at best...

tiny.

"Then comes in a plethora of complaints from low self-esteem having, morbidly obese women."

you must be one of those people that screams, rants and yells about how crappy PC language is every time someone tells you that it is not okay to make fun of other people because of the way they look, what they are wearing, skin color etc.

screaming about how stupid PC language is when it comes to making fun of others is really just screaming that YOU SHOULD BE ALLOWED to make fun of others because hey, screw other people`s emotions right? All that matters are yours and what you want.

I know, I know, I am just being too PC and all that...or maybe I am just remembering what we were taught in elementary school about making fun of others. back then we didn`t call it PC language, we called it common sense.

"Am I right in saying that US sizes are one larger than sizes in the UK?"

Depends on what store you`re shopping at, go by your measurements instead of your "size". I`m a US 4 which is a S/M in most stores, but at BeBe I`m an XS and at Guess I`m an XS or an S, whichever my ass feels like allowing that particular day, and at Charlotte Russe I`m absolutely a S.

Am I right in saying that US sizes are one larger than sizes in the UK?

So if I bought a Large pair of jeans over here from GAP and went to the US, the same pair of jeans would be an XL?
