How is it going round her sides? Did she slowly roll around to get a full coverage? Or is it paint?

My brother went that colour in Australia. But it was February, and he had no shirt, hat or cream on cos he wanted to get a tan to piss off everyone back in the UK. He ended up in hospital with heatstroke. Pissed off A&E doctor told me to put aloe vera on him and told us to go away. You can`t buy that in Hervey Bay at 12:30 on a Wed night, so I soaked a t shirt in cold water. Except there was a heatwave, so the cold water was luke warm.

So I put some ice cubes inside it to try and cool him. He screamed like a stuck pig, but I`m heavier + wasn`t suffering sunstroke so I won. After about 10 minutes he was kinda back to normal. It turns out one shouldn`t do that, it can give them a heart attack, literally. He survived, but got proper anal about the Aussie sun after that, was terrified of it.

Oh god...I have super pale skin and pretty much can`t tan. I burn and then go back to being pretty super pale. At most I look "not dead" when I get sun. So i can sympathize with this! I don`t think I`ve ever let myself burn this badly though >_<

This happens every summer to thousands of pale and pasty Brits who leave their cloudy island to spend two weeks on the Costa del Sol.

I have never wanted to smack something so badly. It would be as good as popping a big zit. Don`t judge me.

No sympathy. If you`re dumb enough to fall asleep in the sun then you deserve your burn.

The summer I turned 15, I spent nearly the entire summer out in the sun with no sunblock. I had a perpetually permanent sunburn throughout pretty much the entire summer. When the burn finally went away, my skin bleached out and I became insanely sensitive to sunlight. Any direct exposure to sunlight now and I feel like my entire body is on fire.

When I was 8 I went to a beach in Florida. Long story short, no sun screen = huge blisters and scabs on my shoulders, neck, and back. Ruined the rest of my vacation. Now, I use goth block spf 75.

"30 minutes in the sun with no protection and i get red as hell."

Or a couple hours with 75 SPF when you`re naturally very pale and have never been to Hawaii. She`s lucky she didn`t erupt in blisters. 3rd degree sunburn, it`s a BITCH.

Reminds me of Hal in Malcolm in the Middle when he insisted on sitting in the scummy hot tub.

In about 20 years, they will develop a very good relationship with a dermatologist experienced in Mohs surgery.

If the burn was still relatively fresh, it wouldn`t be blistering yet.
