It`s not "deforested"; it`s "harvested." It`s how you get wood to build stuff like houses and furniture. What? Do you think that stuff just magically appears at Home Depot or Ikea?

This picture is from the aftermath by the storm Gudrun in Sweden 2005. It`s taken by Jocke Berglund and also won the "Picture of the Year" in Sweden that year. So definitely not shopped! Here`s a link (in swedish)

It`s probably really efficient. Ants do it too. It is both the most efficient way to transport resources, but also symetrical and beautiful.

I thought the story was that the picture came from an area that got hit by a tornado. The tracks are from the logging/cleanup trucks.
