I was driving through Compton this morning, praying that Zimmerman wasn`t set free or anything until I was out.

that poor kid was not the kid pictured in the media he was a rather big fellow - big enough to think he could take a wee hispanic fellow. the police are going to wait till things cool down in a few months and drop any charges

Not a chance of a fair trial anywhere in north `merca. I believe he is innocent but already found guilty in the media and the ignorant will find it difficult to change their prejudice . . .

FascismYeah-"No one carries a weapon unless they intend to use it."

That just demonstrates your own ignorance and bias.

I carry a weapon all the time. I do not intend to use it. I DO intend to have it in hand JUST IN CASE I need to.

FascismYeah-"I don`t know where you live where you are fearful without a weapon, but move."

Sorry, but there is currently no busses leaving the human planet.

I understand that YOU have an irrational fear of inanimate objects that go *boom*. Don`t project your fears on others.

FascismYeah-"Just because you have the right doesn`t mean you should."

I agree, you have the right to continue to demonstrate your ignorance. It doesn`t mean that you should.

"There are parts of town that I`m not allowed to go into."

This is an entirely different issue, I agree.

It is also, sad, racist, and totally un-American.

Not saying you are those things. Just saying that situation is.

I live in Nashville, TN. There are parts of town that I`m not allowed to go into. I stay out.

All of that has nothing to do with Matrin/Zimmerman.

I feel I have the right to go anywhere in this country that I please. Some of those places have a higher crime rate than others.

Full disclosure: I was mugged once in Downtown Birmingham (Black guy with a knife), and I had my pistol on me. Didn`t use it, because they didn`t strike me.

Almost got in a fight once in some redneck drinkery. Guy broke a bottle and took a swipe at me (White hick moron). Gun came out that time. He cried and said he was sorry.

"No one carries a weapon unless they intend to use it."

This is bullpoo.

The bill of rights says I can own my handgun, and I legally carry mine wherever I go.

If I were to ever get in a situation that warranted it, I would use it. If not, I won`t.

We are guaranteed 3 things by living here. LIFE (protected by my firearm), LIBERTY (to carry my firearm), and the pursuit of HAPPINESS (insured, by my firearm. Can`t be happy, if I am fearful).

FascismYeah:

That is contradictory of the evidence at hand. Think like a jury is supposed to. You MUST judge based off available evidence, NOT what you THINK happened. What evidence do we have?

Zimmerman (neighborhood watch member) sees a kid (unsure of race) and follows him, because there have been a very large number of break ins in the area.

He gets out of his car, to WALK on foot behind the kid. Zimmerman now notices he is black. Zimmerman confronts the kid (not violently, just askes why he is there) and Trayvon runs away.

Zimmerman remarks to the dispatcher, that "They always get away", and gets off the phone with the dispatcher. Then, Trayvon returns, and jumps Zimmerman as he is walking back to his car. Trayvon is on top of Zimmerman, punching him in the face, and smashing his head on the ground.

Zimmerman, fearing for his life, reaches into his waistband, and retrieves his personal sidearm, that is licensed.

He pulled out his gun WHILE BEING BEATEN TO DEATH jamie!

You have a choice. Take the beating and die, or defend yourself.

I would have shot the little drater.

Before you go off on your "Oh Zimmerman shouldn`t have followed him" bullpoo; it was PUBLIC PROPERTY! Zimmerman had just as much right to be there as Trayvon did.

FascismYeah, IM SO HAPPY you could put your busy day aside and come post on I-A-B! what MY big question is, with you being the star witness how on EARTH did you find the drating time to come tell us what happened?! with that being said HOW THE drat DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!? this "KID" as you all him was a drating THUG ASS NIGGA. i dont know if you have seen the PICTURES of him or not, with his drating gold teeth, throwing the finger and trying to look as (NO LIMIT) as possible, but this THUG was NOT a drating KID. just because the MEDIA lied to you doesnt give you ANY right to be ignorant. and what in the drat does it matter of Zimmerman was fat or not? so somehow zimmerman being fat suddenly gives Mr No Limit thug the right to beat the unholy crap out of him? the more i see posts like yours the more i wish it had been YOU who got shot that night instead of Traywelfair Martin

Well, lookit here folks!!! We got us an EYE-BALL WITNESS!!!

What? You weren`t there? Then why not stick to debating the evidence rather than presenting your own, flawed, opinion as if it were fact.

Opinions are welcome (and similarly ridiculed), but should be prefaced by, or clearly labeled with, some variation of the letters `IMO`.

Why are people talking about evidence as if it`s relevant to this political issue? There`s damn all chance of a fair trial based on evidence even if they manage to find 12 people willing to give it a go regardless of the consequences.

And CNN & MSNBC will proclaim them `Peacefull Occupy Protests` fully supported by Obama and claim the murders, rapes and looting are the fault of Tea Party operatives (or, alternately, Bush`s Fault).

And I`m sure all those 60" Plasma T.V.`s that walk out the broken windows of Best Buy will make the `liberators` feel SO much better about the verdict.

But think of the economic boom! All that stimulus money rebuilding what gets torched. It`s one way of lowering unemployment.

They`re gonna time this hand-in-hand with the election.

The dropping of charges will be PERFECT to energize the Democrat base.

Nothing like rioters fighting police, lovingly covered by a complicit media, to get those minorities to the voting booth.

Agreed Gerry. All I want is Justice, at any cost.

If it causes a riot, so be it. It`ll be good TV for the 2 or 3 days it happens, then people will forget why they are rioting, and they will stop.

AJ - if you were seeking truth or justice I would agree with you. Zimmerman has a case. But he still doesn`t have a prayer. They are gonna get him. If acquitted he`ll be charged with some other crime like violating Trayvon`s civil rights or hate crimes or some other crap.

Stand Your Ground doesn`t apply.

It`s a plain Jane self defense case, and Zimmerman has a case.

The point of Zimmerman`s arrest was he didn`t stand his ground. He stalked and confronted a man that he ultimately murdered. The man is facing the justice he earned. I have no sympathy for him. You shouldn`t either.

sosueme1966-"how could you possibly have enough evidence for a murder conviction?"

This case has gone far beyond such paultry concepts of `evidence`.

The way Zimmerman will be convicted will be due to 12 scared-pooless jurists who have Black Panthers marching outside of their homes during the entire trial.

And such intimidating tactics will not only be overlooked, but activily ignored as every agency has gotten the word that `you don`t arrest or charge members of the New Black Panther Party`.

Don`t see how this harms his case. Use the conflicting testimony to completely discredit the witnesses in general, and force the jury to rule on Zimmerman`s story and the physical evidence, of which there is very little other than Zimmerman`s injuries.

WIth no credible eyewitness accounts, how could you possibly have enough evidence for a murder conviction?

The real reason people suck as witnesses

If five people witness a car accident there will be seven different stories of how it happened.

Guy with weapon follows suspicious guy even after calling the cops, cuts him off on his way to going home, and shoots him and kills him when he`s losing a fist fight = somehow self defense.

It is if Zimmerman himself did not start the fist fight, even if Martin attacked him because he thought he was defending himself.

LillianDulci-"punches said suspicious guy when he most likely blocks the path to his house because he feels threatened = somehow not self defense."

Self Defense is legally defined as `reasonble force when it appears reasonably necessary to prevent an impending injury.` Punching a guy that`s blocking your way is not self defense. Detaining someone is not the same as injuring someone. (I`m not arguing that`s what happened, just demonstrating that your particular scenario does not meet the legal definition of self defense).

Now, defending yourself from a guy who is actively threatening you with physical harm, are actually engaged in injuring you, IS self defense.

And this is why "eyewitness" testimony is the most unreliable of any evidence. Anyone building a case on witness testimony is building a house on sand.

Trayvon didn`t have drugs ON him, but he had drugs IN him! lolz!

It`s sad that witnesses are probably terrified by the intense media and hateful Trayvon-backers. There`s still ample evidence to clear Zimmerman.

Everyone sees things in their own way and sometimes even modifies what they believe they seen after-the-fact for various reasons.

Nothing major has changed. The headline is rather deceptive, trying to spin the narrative that the presentation of evidence somehow made them change their minds.

"teenage drug dealer"

Nothing indicates that Trayvon was a drug dealer or that Zimmerman has any reason to believe he was a drug dealer (he had no drugs on him at the time). Trayvon also asked Zimmerman at one point why he was following him, and Zimmerman lied and said he wasn`t following him, so Trayvon had a reason to act in self defense against Zimmerman when Zimmerman continued to follow him (on foot).

Guy with weapon follows suspicious guy even after calling the cops, cuts him off on his way to going home, and shoots him and kills him when he`s losing a fist fight = somehow self defense.

Guy with no weapon being followed by a suspicious guy, punches said suspicious guy when he most likely blocks the path to his house because he feels threatened = somehow not self defense.

Eye witness accounts, even ones that occur directly after an event, are rarely perfect or 100% accurate, so it`s not really surprising that people might change what they originally said. People`s memories are flawed and they may make assumptions in the moment and think that that`s what really happened when it wasn`t. I remember in psychology class we were showed a video and asked who was the shooter. Everyone said it was a certain guy in the video (probably because of his stance, but I can`t remember). Then we rewatched it and were told to focus on another guy, and it was really clear that it was a completely different guy who shot the gun.

The case in a nutshell.

Latino guy see`s a suspicious teenage drug dealer in his neighbourhood.
Latino Guy confronts said suspicious guy.
Drug dealer turns round and beats the latino guy up.
Latino guy draws his gun and fires in self defense as allowed by state law.

Latino guy then gets charged with murder by inept prosecutors who want to become rich and famous off the case.
