Zimmerman Out On Bail, Will Be Closely Monitored

Submitted by: fancylad 5 years ago in

And the shocker (to me anyway) is that bail was only set at $150,000. He was escorted out in a bulletproof vest.

"Half of America likes Obama." If that`s even actually true, it`s only because he`s the only option on the left side right now. I guarantee you if other democrats, like Hil-dawg, were allowed to run against him that number would drastically decrease.

""We need to take our country back". Back from what? Someone that doesn`t believe exactly as you do?"

No, we need to take our country back from the politicians who ignore our constitution and make a mockery of our system. The way things are done these days isn`t the way our founding fathers intended it. I`m not saying we need to take it away from just the democrats. We need to take it away from both. The Republican and Democratic parties are leeches on our political system.

"Obama does so many REAL things to dislike him for, why make poo up?"

His own mother wouldn`t recognize the Obama that conservatives talk about. Half of America likes Obama. It`s not what he does that people hate it`s that he does not think like them. That is how ridiculous our political news system has become. "We need to take our country back". Back from what? Someone that doesn`t believe exactly as you do? If you shut your mind to that which is different you will no longer learn. You also never get to the best solution. Obama is not the monster you have made him out to be - you are.

Because the poo is often more compelling or attention-capturing, but your point is very a propos. Seems like the right loves to make up this imaginary Obama and attack that like it`s a real thing. At least when the left criticized Bush, on the majority it was because of dumb sh*t he did, not dumb sh*t they thought he did.

@5Cats Obama is the worst, and I`m not saying that because of his political orientation or ideals. I`m saying that because he has been a terrible president based on what the president is actually supposed to do. A president should never get caught up in these news stories or make comments on things like this. That`s now what he was elected for.

@Gerry1 I DO recall him taking sides. Just like he did in the "Beer Summit" case. You remember? Before the facts were known he publicly proclaimed the police were both wrong AND racist? Obama`s funny like that, eh?

So: Obama`s 17 year old son would: have multiple tattoos, be suspended from school for drugs and behave like a `gangsta` on FaceBook. Nice! (not)

No, he won`t. He will probably have Eric Holder file federal civil rights charges against GZ (in a blatant and flagrant violation of his 5th amendment protection from double jeopardy) the same way Janet "The Barbecue Chef" Reno did to the LA cops who, IMO, showed TREMENDOUS restraint in not just shooting that violent, drugged-up POS Rodney King.

Wait, is there a pattern starting ot emerge here?

PhantomGh0st-"No jury will convict him."

Yes, there is a jury that will convict him, just as there is a jury that will acquit him. Unfortunately it is not an unbiased system.

PhantomGh0st-"Facts are facts"

Facts have had very little to do with this case so far. They will have even less to do with what follows.

PhantomGh0st-"Justice will be served. "

Doubtful. This is no longer about so simple a concept as `justice`.

Xh8FYHnG-"What flabbergasts me is the POTUS taking sides early on."

He usually does, and it`s through the prism of his racism, and he`s usually wrong.

markust123-"amazes me that certain members of The New Black Panthers are not in jail"

Why? One of the first things this administration established is that the NBP`s will not be prosecuted for anything..even if you have video evidence.

It amazes me that certain members of The New Black Panthers are not in jail. How can a citizen put a bounty on someone`s head and not be in jail?

@Gerry1of1 Casey would drat a black dude, have a black baby, and then ZB would shoot the baby just because it was black. To cover the whole thing up, Casey Anthony would grind the dead baby up and hide it in the woods behind her parents house.

"There are a lot that struggle to just find a decent and informative newspaper."

I`m with you. I get the Seattle Times delivered 7 days a week. I only read my news.

"Just because a story on racism (whether the racism is actually there or not) is popular doesn`t necessarily mean that this nation is plagued with racism. All it means is that people like the drama associated with racially-charged stories."

I`ve never said it is plagued by racism only that it is more prevalent than people on here pretend. And you are spot on that it is the drama people are after. That is the sad state of todays "news" it is all emotion and little fact.

@markust123 You are making the assumption that every person in America watches and follows the MSM. Sure, a lot of Americans do, but I guarantee you there are a lot who don`t. There are a lot that struggle to just find a decent and informative newspaper.(In my area, local newspapers tend to be a little better) Also, while yes people drive the stories, it is only the peoples` INTEREST that drives the story. Just because a story on racism(whether the racism is actually there or not) is popular doesn`t necessarily mean that this nation is plagued with racism. All it means is that people like the drama associated with racially-charged stories.

"The media just wants money. You can`t judge the entire US culture based on Fox, CNN, or NBC."

Believe me I am one of the first to blame the media. But it is the people that drive what stories become huge. The stories get reported on and the people grasp onto certain one, then the media blows them out of proportion. But make no mistake it is the people who chose what stories they will pay attention to.

"Has anyone else noticed that racism has become a hot topic for the last few years given the current administration?"

Sorry but the racism is coming from the other side. It is a standard Karl Rove technique - attack your opponents strengths. John Kerry was a war hero so make him out to not be. The Democrats elect the first African American president so make them out to be the racists. The media can get people to believe whatever they want them to believe. It is a simple technique called proof by assertion. When a trusted source says something enough times it becomes fact.

@markust123 You`re using the exact same logic that people on here use to claim the media gives preferential treatment TOWARDS black people. The media just wants money. You can`t judge the entire US culture based on Fox, CNN, or NBC. They just bait the people who buy into it, and we as a nation have given them way too much power in the past 10 years. This case is a great example.

"People die every day. Why is it only brought to national attention when its a black person killed by a non-black?"

Why were hate crimes against gay people only brought to our attention when the victim was a cute blond boy (Matthew Shepard), when a gay black boy was murdered around the same time? Why did the murder of a cute blond girl (Jonbenet Ramsey) get so much media attention? A pretty blond girl is missing better call Nancy Grace. America is still racist and preferential towards white people. You wouldn`t know that by the huge blinders some of the people on IAB wear. The real question is why are there not more people standing up against racism and inequality? I`m not talking about this story in general. I am asking why more people do not stand up? It seams people only want to divide - to point fingers or play victim.

No jury will convict him.

Facts are facts, he is innocent. Now the people that need a little time in jail are the ones offering bounties for him dead or alive. And those threatening his life.

Justice will be served. He is innocent. Self-defense is self-defense. He surely did not bash his head on the concrete or break his nose by calling the cops. But we will let our judicial system decide.

At the bail hearings they set the amount based on a few different factors like flight risk, criminal history, and if they there`s a chance he may go out and commit more crimes.

Don`t let the corporate owned propaganda media troll you with this incident any longer. This is no different than any other shooting in this country. Has anyone else noticed that racism has become a hot topic for the last few years given the current administration? Unless you are a truly pathetic person, and you know who you are, nobody cares about kicking around that tired old hatred any longer. Get over yourselves.

Ollie: I believe more rational minds will still prevail here. Many blacks are beginning to realize that their so-called leaders do not represent their feelings and have become not unlike the racists and lynch mobs that they fought against in the 60`s.

Perhaps the recent `outing` of these reverse bigots, because of this incident, will enable us to get past this bullsh|t once and for all.

This whole prosecution is politically motivated. If the judge had any integrity, he would have thrown out that pooty indictment and found the prosecutor in contempt for filing it. This just goes to prove that the judge is part of the lynch mob.

Zimmerman can never get a fair trial, because even if all 12 jurors are convinced of his innocence, they will never vote to acquit because 1) they know a not-guilty verdict will cause riots with dozens of deaths and $millions in damages, and 2) their identities and address will be made public, and they will become targets of the lynch mob.

At this point, Zimmerman is toast, and his guilt or innocence is completely irrelevant. He`ll end up being murdered in prison.

Isn`t the bail amount determined by how much money the person makes and how likely they are to flee/ not appear in court? I don`t think it`s (supposed) to have anything to do with how much the public hates you.

Is this really necessary? People die every day. The media is trying to sensationalize this as a racial slaughter. I call b.s.

Zimmerman will probably get changed with something along the lines of man slaughter and be killed in jail. End of story and everyone will say he deserved it.

People die every day. Why is it only brought to national attention when its a black person killed by a non-black?

NAACP needs to get their collectively racist poo together
