"Really sucks for her, but there`s no way they can delete the millions of copies that people have stored on the website."

Yeah, and all she`s managed to do is give people more pictures, in addition to a legitimate reason to mock her.

I enjoy my memes but I have never seen any of the ones featuring this girl. Sadly, it won`t go away. I think it would have almost been better for her just to remain anonymous and try to ignore it...and I HATE saying that. I just don`t see how to stop it. Facebook is not the only place that these things spread around on. I mean, who is the "douchebag" meme with the hat?...etc...I never even associate the memes with real people EXCEPT for Zeddie, of course!

What is there to say about this? You will either get why this is such a deplorable act, or you won`t. Either way, things like this will continue to happen, whether I like it or not.

Shut up. Young people in the UK are no better or worse than any previous generation. Your just looking at the situation from an old mans point of view. I`ll bet you my house that the elderly people when you were a teenager thought the same way about you.

And the police will touch them, stop read the Daily Fail and The Sun, those lie rags melt your brain

"Ummmm to completly dismiss the concept of eugenics because you associate it with Nazis makes you no beter. Genetics are passed from parent to child how much is hard to say but there`s many examples. Here`s one the basketball player Yao Ming take a look at his parents info if that`s not China practicing a form of eugenics what is it??"

I only included the Nazis because I consider them to be mental defectives, not because they`re the only example of eugenics. The Nazis certainly perverted the original idea, as they did with a lot of concepts. But what Leesah is promoting is not the "Yao Ming" form of eugenics you`re mentioning, and is in fact closer to the perverted form.

Anyway, where would the line be drawn? Would autistic people be aborted? Autistic people have made some significant contributions to our society. And who would be deciding what is "genetic retardation" and what isn`t. Hell of a slippery slope.

Sorry to disappoint you but anyone who believes in eugenics in a modern society has a serious mental deficiency of their own. That includes the Nazis, of course.

While eugenics is probably the most logical thing for society, (basically speeding up and guiding evolution) if I believed in eugenics, I`d be one of the first to go. I`m fat, blind, lazy and sometimes downright stupid. So unless I`m in charge and not subject to the scrutiny of the eugenics program I instill, then I`ll have nothing to do with it!

Well said. But since you`re already a little too old maybe we`ll just sterilize you to prevent this problem from happening to subsequent generations.

Mental retardation is not a severe genetic disorder.

How in the hell does that make any sense whatsoever?

It`s like saying "Not to be racist, but those black people are all fried chicken chomping thugs."

You`re being mean.

Don`t try to dance around it, that just makes you look like an insincere assh*le.

Don`t be an insincere assh*le. Be an honest one.

This chick and her mom have two choices: Get over it, or gives themselves health problems.

Them making a big deal out of it NOW, when it was mostly dead anyway, is only going to make it shoot back into the spotlight again.

Dammit, that got me... I always got a pretty good chuckle out of a well used potato gag, and now this.

I fully support abortion for fetuses diagnosed with severe genetic disorders. But obviously the decision lies with the parents. I think the main problem is the social stigma against abortion.

How is that hilarious? An adult such as yourself should be able to recognize someone with down`s syndrome immediately and be mature enough not to laugh at it.

I asked you that because the last time I saw someone call you out on this sort of behavior, you demanded examples in which you acted that way previously. Well, here`s another instance.

It`s a very, very sad commentary on our society when we accept and encourage the teasing of people with mental disabilities. We could learn a lot from them, all they want is to be loved and accepted. your parents should have raised you better than that.

They don`t realise that the comment is coming from someone with Down Syndrome so it`s actually an insult to the person you`re sending it to. Not to the person who`s in the picture. Still, the awkward moment when you realise you`re a meme.

While there`s nothing that can be done about it, I feel awful for this girl. I can`t imagine how I would feel if people posted such hurtful things beside my face. Yes, it`s the internet. Yes, you`re anonymous. But put yourself in her shoes. She did nothing to deserve the ridicule, and while I agree with the whole "I don`t agree with what you say, but I`ll defend to death your right to say it" line, that doesn`t change the fact that the people mocking her are all pricks. If they were in her position, it would be a lot different, now, wouldn`t it?
