If people want to believe in their Magic Sky Men and various creation myths (because that`s what they are, myths) that`s fine. But to expect to TEACH that crap as FACT?

Move to Afghanistan. I understand they`re very pro-myth there.

"Stephen is just jumping around questions not giving Don a chance to even explain anything"

That is because he can`t explain anything.

He disagrees with science because science contradicts his precious myth.

@LazyMe484, I think the USA would benefit just as well from simply not listening to him as they would from his death; so wow, asking for someone`s death just because they hold a position of power and a silly ideology ... too far man

I believe that man`s death would be a net gain on society.... a very large net gain.

Drjake, maybe that`s because none of the questions were about anything McLeroy is qualified to talk about, like how to fill cavities.

This is really a shame the video isn`t available outside of the US, this is truly Colbert at his best.

@ggolbez - I`m not a teacher, don`t know any personally, but I`m pretty sure you`re required to teach what they tell you to teach. I may be wrong but that`s how I`ve always thought it works.

That was pretty fun, trying to wittingly making see why his point of view doesn`t work

Why do these people willingly go on shows like this? They should know what they`re getting themselves into and that by the time the interview is over they`re going to end up looking like dumba$$es!

You are entitled to your own opinions, you are not entitled to your own facts. I am currently in college to become a High School History teacher. I am going to give the children the facts, as unbiasedly as I possibly can. It`s up to them to make opinions on it.

Was going to comment on this topic. But I can`t get past our first lady smiling at me from atop the page. Asking me to support the worst President I ever voted for.

Can`t get past the irony. Comedy Central.....news arm for the cause.

Sorry for being off topic. The ad sales here are at fault.,

I`d like to have heard more about his crazy ideas but as usual Colbert really doesn`t do a good interview, he just talks over the guy into submission. I don`t know how the heck they even convinced him to come on the show.

I can`t help but think that separation of science and religion is as important to society as separation of church and state.

How do you check to make sure videos can be played overseas?

Also, thanks to the mod who fixed that description. I didn`t realize how FUBAR it was until after I submitted it.

Ha. Saw that episode the other night. I`ve submitted the link to McLeroy`s school board meeting, it`s slated to post tomorrow.

"Stand up to the Experts" is my new mantra!

Colbert hits the nail on the head. Seems like religious people like him take science as a more "I can choose to believe this or not", which explains why they believe in this creationist stuff. You`re entitled to your own opinions, not your own facts.
