I agree with most of it. However, too much focus on economics and not enough on the basic concepts of human rights on which economic freedom depends. For that aspect, consult philosopher Ayn Rand.

Outstanding! Truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth!

Meanwhile, Obama appoints: A Video Game Czar! That makes 60? 70 appointed Czars he`s put in place? Because the ONE THING the video game industry needs is: The White House Overseeing it.

America is failing because megacorporations own the political process. As part of the perversion of this once great representational democracy, they are pouring billions into propaganda outfits, such as "Free Market America," which are convincing middle class America that unregulated industry has its best interests at heart.

Propaganda in it`s purest form. Both sides do it, but this is just absurd.

Any reasonable points he might have tried to make are lost in this doom and gloom scenario crap. He`s not trying to win anyone over, just rile up the people who agree with him already.

Wasn`t it just yesterday that leesah and some of the other conservatives were complaing right-wing links never get posted? Anyway, I thought at first this was a parody. I mean c`mon..."I’d cut off America’s supply of cheap, abundant energy. I couldn’t take it by force. So, I’d make Americans feel guilty..."
Whose cutting off our supply? Oil production here in the U.S. is at an all time high. Also, this line seems to imply that we SHOULD be taking it by force. Scary.

"I’d make cheap energy expensive" Really? You think you can do that? Lets not forget that when gas was at $4 a gallon during the Bush years, Fox "News" and other conservatives were rushing to his defense stating emphatically that the president doesn`t control energy costs.
"And when it’s cold out, I’d call it Climate Change instea

I can rebut all the points in this but the main one being the investment in clean energy is not fruitless. In fact we can legislate away pollution and make people feel guilty about driving their Hummer. This is how change has been accomplished throughout history. Guilt is a powerful motivator.

(cont) global warming is the increase of the Earths temp., climate change refers to the effects of increased CO2.

Ever been over here dumbass? We don`t feel guilty about being 100lbs overweight, being ignorant as hell, driving 6ton trucks that get 5 miles a gallon...what the hell makes you think we feel guilty about any of that? There is `climate change` but to think humans have even 1% effect (on the change, not the whole climate) is crazy.

Oh, and I love how he mentioned Henry Ford. Not only did he not ship jobs overseas, he made it a point to pay his workers enough so that they could afford his cars. Now? Screw that, right? Let`s pay people wages as low as the have in China or India, or we`ll ship even MORE jobs overseas. Let`s fire moms and dads that work as janitors in our schools, and hire their children to do the same job at a fraction of the cost!

"make it impossible for farmers to farm"???? Oh ok...let`s kick out all the ileegal migrant workers we`re all so "outraged" about, and hire ex-teacher, miloitary vets, and desk jockeys who are out of work to replace them. Do you really think they`ll take those jobs? Please.

Why is it crazy? Because contrary to what the majority of climate experts have determined based on science, you`ve read claims by meteorologists that disagree? We can diagree, but I don`t think it`s "crazy". "Crazy" is crossing your fingers and hoping they`re wrong.

    Majority? Never happened.
Science? Faked outright or `doctored` to fit the theory.

@jt: The Tea Party came after the 2008 election, when the Democrats tried (again) to pacify the public with phoney `town hall meetings` which they expected to control, to try to push ObamaCare on the people. The trouble was, actual citizens started attending! lolz! It grew rapidly from there.

Joe Biden is the ultimate "beltway insider" in Washington. (now that Sen Byrd is dead). Mr Hope & Change chose THE MOST corrupt person in DC as his running mate? I`ll take Sarah over "Slow Joe" anytime.

@5cats: "endless" scandels? Um, I remember one where some scientists were accused of saying they had to "cook" some numbers, but even that turned out to be minutae in the grand scheme of things. Meanwhile, the majority of universities, scientists, and climatologists (not that silly little batch of weathermen the right-wing drummed up) are still expressing concern that Co2 emmissions could cause harm.

@jt: You remember one, but there have been dozens. Of course the MSM is mostly silent about it!
They refused to release their data, they cooked their data, they faked their data, they `cherry picked` their data, they conspired to `peer review` each others` data!
Any ONE of which completely discredit them.

CO2 isn`t much of a greenhouse gas anyhow, methane is 4X as stong (iirc).

btw: the "ozone layer hole" grows and shrinks in seemingly random fashion. It may have been there for thousands of years, we don`t know. I do remember the `panic` over it! lolz!

What an epic pile of sh*t. The only people stupid enough to believe this propaganda are republicans. If I wanted America to fail, I`d pump billions of our dollars in to a toxic fuel source that destroys our environment, pollutes our air, and turns the golf coast in to a poisoned wasteland, while benefitting a few rich a**holes, instead of helping America become the leader of renewable fuels, like solar, like wind, like geo-thermal. I`d bribe every spineless politician I could find to give oil companies trillion-dollar tax-breaks, so they could keep f**king up the Earth in pursuit of an antiquated fuel source that`s going to run out in a few decades. Or I`d just give the Middle East all of our money (and by the way, the biggest transition of wealth ever in the history of the recorded world is occuring right now, where a massive percentage of America`s wealth is now the Middle East`s wealth, to the tune of trillions). Take your propaganda and jam it up your ass you f*ck.

    Ugggghhhhh!!!!!

That was soooo awful my brain wants to throw up.

It`s based on so many misunderstandings of history, economics, and science that I don`t even know where to begin.

The whole thing is an assault on logic that preys on the uninformed, and the video just ends up sounding like it`s funded "Evil Conglomerates Inc." or something.

And the hyperbole! Seriously! "Regulations are BAD! Conservation is HYPOCRITICAL! And planning ahead instead of flushing limited resourced down the toilet will DOOM US ALL! We should be allowed to do whatever we want instead, or America will DIE IN A DITCH!"

    Pathetic.

If I wanted America to fail, I`d let uninformed douchenozzles like the turd in a suit in this video run the country.

    "turned it`s back on God"

lol... you mean YOUR god?.. or some other god?.. or any god?

RELIGION is the cause and/or reason for ALL the suffering in the world... always had been, always will be. Blind faith is the most evil despicable notion known to mankind. To believe in an omnipotent being forces the believer to submit their will and conscience, witch in turn is reflected in how they perceive others around them. Anyone not in line with their way of thinking, thus becomes wrong. Anyone not tied to their "truths" become irrelevant. Human suffering at the hands of the nazi have NOTHING on the religious righteous.

From about 2:15 he hit the nail on the head, Then he started rambling about the same crap as he started out with. Do no blame this one guy, he was used to prove a point. IF and only IF you want your country to fail is what this is about. But after 2:15 the point is , that, this is what is making all counties fail. Cover ups, false representation, Lies, back door handshakes, pay offs , and just general screwing with our money. no one person can deal with this, and anarchy is not the answer. Can anyone figure it out?

While I think it`s still of the utmost importance to reduce our impact on the environment as much as rationally possible, I`ll certainly give you that. In fact, that can be said about pretty much all grass roots movements...civil rights, feminism, the Tea party movement, Occupy Wall St., etc etc.. All still important movements in their own right, all noble, and all hijacked by people seeking political gain.

Those of you that don`t think we contribute to it........what if you`re wrong?
@jtreb: A fair question, here`s the answer: Canada is suppose to lower it`s emissions by 6% to 1992 levels, or else!
IF Canada STOPPED producing ALL greenhouse gas emissions, how much difference would it make?
Less that 1/10th of 1% over the next century, that`s how much.
NO cars, NO plastic, NO heat in the winter, NO farming, nothing! And it would not make a spitball in the ocean of difference!
And we`re arguing about 6%??? HA!

"Global Warming" is a fraud trying to take money from one group and give it to another group, with the "middlemen" getting the "lion`s share" of course!

    If fully implimented, it would:
    1)Destroy the world`s economy.
2)Kill hundreds of millions of mostly poor people
3)NOT MAKE A SPECK OF DIFFERENCE TO THE WEATHER!

Hey Eddy 666, we can get rid of draculya by simply not sending our scrap metals to asia, Then they have nothing to sell back to us and we can go on in our governed and controlled environment with all our rules and regs, not being able to produce steel to build towers for all the immigrants that made money from us in the first place, That way they come over and buy up our companies and we work for them in a socialist society. Fighting for freedom is like drating for virginity. We had our freedom hundreds of years ago, then some non-nice individual thought it would be good if we had a ruler to tell us how to kiss his ass. Since then we have had bad and not so good rulers telling us what is right and wrong. Why the hell do we even need these people? and why do they make so much money? A monkey with 4 buttons in front of them can choose just as well. 1 have a meeting , 2 sit in front of your enemy, 3 fight your enemy, 4 walk away and go on with your life . Intelligent species my ass.

Everything will cost more: food, electricity (it will TRIPLE in cost in the USA) heat. You name it, it will cost more.

In fact Global Cooling is more devastating. If we begin slowly changing now, it`ll be much easier than if we wait until there is no more oil or the atmosphere is too poisonous too breath. Tbh this isn`t really a valid argument. Pretty much anything that`s newly discovered/invented is going to be much more expensive than anything that`s been known about and produced for quite a while. Just because it`s more costly now doesn`t mean it`ll always be more costly, it`s just a matter of gaining support and development for the new ideas rather than throwing tons of money at old ideas and ignoring or disregarding other possibilities.

Um...yes he is. Global warming is the rise in global temperature, whereas climate change, as the name suggests, refers to the changes in the global climate which result from the increasing average global temperature. For example, changes in precipitation patterns, increased prevalence of droughts, heat waves, and other extreme weather, etc.

If he`s saying that the proponents of global warming and climate change are saying this then he`s a liar. How come whenever there`s a cold winter people always say "global warming is a hoax, look how cold it`s been!" That`s like saying stock prices aren`t crashing because it`s gone up a penny on one day.

No surprise that this was funded by a Florida PAC which recieved significant funding contributions from loggers, energy companies, and realtors who would just love to tear a path through any piece of land they can and be damned with the consequences.

He says something about powering our factories on wind. We could only do that in places where there is enough space, and enough wind.

Sorry @patchy, from 0:55 on he`s clearly saying how the `fail folks` talk.
Well if he`s saying this is how proponents of climate change put forth their argument then they`re doing it wrong.

Current `alge tech` uses SO MUCH water it`s unimaginable! And I don`t think they can use seawater either.

And WHO do you think is researching all these new technologies? Yes, it`s the oil companies.
The water usage of algae tech depends on the type of growth system you use. Raceway ponds don`t use a whole lot, and rain helps replenish it. I`ve worked with 1000L photobioreactors as well, and I can tell you that the water is recycled. There are many different methods of extracting algal oil, right now one of the most interesting is using electromagnetic waves to flocculate and lyse the cells, and some companies even claim the cells are still viable after this. You are correct that oil companies do lots of the research though, but that`s for tax breaks a

Is it just me, or are the vast majority of facts against 5Cats, CrakrJak, McGovern1981, and eddy666 dismissed for purely ad hominem-type reasons?

eddy666: "The title of that article is just as propaganda".

Care to comment on the CONTENT of that article? Of course not.

CrakrJak: "`Media Matters` is another George Soros front group, not unlike `Moveon.org`. It has ZERO credibility.".

That doesn`t mean that it`s wrong. Free Market America has less than zero credibility, but others have explained errors in this video anyways. So what errors are there on the site I linked to?

Anyone can simply dismiss something, that doesn`t explain/prove it`s wrong.
