How about just honestly refusing to answer the point?
@angilion :& what was the point again?
Your retarded analogy about employer & employee?
Getting a girl pregnant and then thinking the solution is as simple as getting rid of the fetus is not having even basic understanding of how females are designed. It is not and should not be an easy decision.
I don`t know what kind of messed up background you come from where having sex with some one is a transaction and if the poor woman who made a misjudgment of laying with you falls pregnant then she has valiant you pointing out her further mistake by keeping you gene pool going.
Let`s try this why don`t you from now on tell every woman you want sleep with that by that folly if she is pregnant then you will have no responsibility towards that child and see how many girls then want have anything to do with you.
Talk to all the mothers and their kids who didn`t get any help from their douchbag `fathers` inspit

Fine. Publish whatever personal information you like.

I will point out that your attempt to evade an answer by publishing irrelevant personal information instead is very obvious and a complete failure.

How about just honestly refusing to answer the point? You`re under no obligation to answer it. You have no need to support your position, since your position is the norm. You can freely ignore any considerations of ethics or reasoning since they have no power and therefore no relevance.

@angilion: here`s a disclouer that only handful of people in my life know about
I got pregnant at age 38 with guy I was living with at the time, he was not someone wanted to be with.

We talked about it, he said if I choose to keep the baby he will marry me. The decision to abort was mine. I have no problems with it. I have always been a pro choice and even more so now.
What I can tell you is that I have never been so out of `me` then the 12 weeks that I carried. The body chemistry drat you up so bad there is no describing it( run in my family) I was not me mentally. To top it all two of my well meaning friends tried really hard to make me keep that baby. Even now part of me feels like I was the one who should have protected that baby but instead ripped it out of me. The mental & physical pain went through for months only because the idiot I was with didn`t like to wear a condom. One time I didn`t refused to have sex, I got pregnant.

I`m an unimportant low-grade employee of a huge business. If, by some strange combination of circumstances, the CEO is going to choose between two courses of action for the business and asks which one I favour, I could answer them. They will be solely responsible for the results. I`ll bear no responsibility at all. All the responsibility will be theirs. Why? Because the choice is theirs and theirs alone. My opinion is of no importance at all. Their power is absolute, mine is non-existent.

It`s not as clear an issue as you think it is, sutra46. Yes, you can have all the power and only half of the responsibility. But is that really the only ethical combination?

The young women you know may be good people. All I was saying was that if two adults agree to sex without strings attached, HER decision to raise any resultant child isn`t necessarily his, and it isn`t fair to impose it upon him. Guys, if you`re crazy enough to insist on NOT using a condom and just believing a relative stranger`s word that she protected, you have yourself to blame.

I know couple of girls who were knocked up very young and are raising kids on their own. To call them gold diggers or free loaders is beyond cruel.
Here`s a tip for all you misogynist Aholes. Keep your dick sheathed. If you can`t be bothered to put on a condom then you pay for the woman to go through pregnancy, childbirth, keeping the child alive and healthy and educating it to be a better per then the the douch DAD
F*ckers.

and ill do every one of you one better. if the woman isnt married to the man? the fetus should be Aborted. and it should be MANDATORY! if you get knocked up. thats it. either get married (and you have to STAY married till the kid is of legal age. or the baby is aborted. end of drating story. that would stop alot of this bullpoo. if the bitch knew she would be stuck with the man and not just his money i bet you we wouldnt see this poo anymore.

It used to be women wanted to be their own person... they wanted to be respected and hold their heads up with pride... now they just want somebody to knock them up so they can have an 18 year MEAL TICKET while they sit on their fat asses and complain that he isnt doing enough for their ugly asses.

That is probably part of the book is that child support has little to do with marriage. You can be stuck with it even from a one night stand. Esquire is simply a term of honor often given lawyers but not exclusive to lawyers.

I`m no fan of deadbeat dads, but I don`t think it`s fair that something a s brief as a consensual one-time sexual contact coupled with a condom failure can rope a man into 18 years of child support should the woman unilaterally decide to keep her fetus. When I see a book like this, I have to wonder if that kind of thing isn`t exactly what`s on the author`s mind.
Since when have females called themselves Esquire???
At least since it became meaningless. Maybe before then, at least in some places. There were female knights in England in the middle ages, so there may have been female squires then too.

On the subject of the book, it has nothing to do with marriage or children. The money isn`t given to the children and there`s no requirement to spend it on the children. It`s mother support, not child support.

Since when have females called themselves Esquire?

It`s a title that`s not gender specific when used by lawyers.

@blackcatseye: If she`s a lawyer, then "Esquire" is entirely appropriate. It can also apply to a few other professions.

Child support is wonderful in theory, but more often than not the money isn`t used for the child at all.

Since when have females called themselves Esquire??? Or is it a male calling himself Cathy??? That`s what happens when baby mamas get half an education, they get their genders mixed up, and messed up too.

And what is wrong with making deadbeats pay for their own kids?

This doesn`t have anything to do with marriage...it has to do with being a responsible parent and adult.

And who would be upset that there is a book to help mothers of children with deadbeat dads recoup some financial help raising that child?

child support has got nothing to do with marriage or its end. it has to do with taking responsibility for the wellbeing of your children, whether you are a man or a woman.
