2 experts agree, the voice heard crying for help on the 911 call was not that of George Zimmerman. Story in credits.
What does his birth certificate say?
It says: Born In Kenya!
Bwaaaahahahahaha!

Really, if he (Zimmerman) is "latino in appearance" then he`s latino.

Please note the MSM has been "whitening" his pictures, eh? You can easily tell by the colour of his shirt: they`ve been altered.

This Analysis Is BAD
Even a simple "fact check" by the Media would show that. Obviosly, pushing a false agenda is more important than telling the truth.

MeGrendel: None of that changes the fact that Obama is biracial. His mother was CLEARLY white and his father CLEARLY black. It isn`t his fault that he wasn`t accepted into society as much as he should have because his parents knew how to love each other. The same goes for Zimmerman. He can list himself as what ever he wants to. What does his birth certificate say?

Lillian: Unfortunately the `Jim Crow` laws set the definition as `one drop of blood`, meaning that if even one ancestor was black then you were black.

However, most all people don`t go by that anymore. Under American Indian standards I could claim to be one and join my great grandfather`s tribe, but I won`t. I believe it`s left up to the individual to decide how they want to be identified now, within limits.

LillianDulci-"MeGrendel, he`s biracial, so calling him hispanic is just as wrong as calling him white."

HE lists HIMSELF as `Hispanic` on official forms, and also a `Democrat`.

Who are you to argue?

LillianDulci-"it`s just as accurate to call Obama white as it is to call him black."

I don`t see anyone, even HIMSELF, calling him `white`.

Things Obama is known for:
First black president of the Harvard Law Review (why would they specify the `Black` and not the `White`?)
First African American President. (no mention of White President there)
Member of the Congressional Black Caucus (no mention of White Caucus there)
Attended meetings of the National Association of Black Journalists (no mention of Association of White journalists there)
He attended a black liberation church (not a white liberation church)

I think it`s pretty definite that he considers himself `Black`, and not `White`.

Thanks @yusuksomuch, @Crakr & you too @Altaru!

Too much caffine is bad for me, I have to drink herbal tea. Decaffinated tea tastes weird.

@LillianDulci: Obama is white? lolz! This is why the MSM has `whitened` Zimmerman`s picture, make him appear more white.

@chalket: It can be, that`s true, which is why all the other evidence should be taken into account as well. Pretend analysis isn`t proof of anything though.
the screaming sounds like a kid not a grown man.
If that was actually true (and you`re saying it, so I`ll assume that it isn`t true), then the screaming would have to be from an unknown third person since neither of them were a kid.

You`re a determined, deliberate and devout racist. Your opinion on the matter is worthless.

To those of you screaming about the eyewitnesses (5cats, crackr, I`m lookin` at you!) may I remind you that eyewitness testimony is notoriously suspect and memory is notoriously fallible. The Innocence Project has exonerated more than 200 prisoners wrongly convicted by incorrect eyewitness testimony.

Mogulman-" I get it, some white guy shot a black guy"

Which story are you following? There`s no `white guy` involved in this incident. Just an African-American and a registered Democrat hispanic.

ivran-"nothing wrong with putting a little milk in hot tea"

Only ONE kind of tea! Sweet-Iced Tea! Anyone who drinks hot tea probably puts sugar in their cornbread, too (horrors). That`s one of the things I enjoy about living in The South. Best food in the world.

madest-"More proof"

No `proof` of anything.

madest-"The right really has an issue with being on the wrong side"

So, wanting the a person`s innocence or guilt to be determined by the facts, the law and the legal system as opposed to the court of public opinion and biased media is `the wrong side`?

I hope you can, I really do. Everyone has the right to find happiness in their life, regardless of what some chemical in their head says.

NOW, with THAT out of the way... Let`s get back to arguing over the case.

I still say, even from listening to the audio clips of that call, it sounded like a younger man`s voice. However... I still wouldn`t trust the audio analysis, because I don`t know the science, but I can already see a million variables that could cause problems.

The article I read the other day said the scream was a 48% match to Zimmerman.

Wow...what technological marvels we have today...we can narrow it down to 50/50 basically...

Why not just flip a coin and go with that result because it is just about as accurate as their "voice analysis"....

Seriously, anyone who thinks they know what happened or demands justice for someone before the facts are out is delusional.

Zimmeman not only shot this kid but beat him before he did.

the person heard screaming on that phone was screaming for his life and then it ended.

that phone call was the last sounds that martin made before we heard the gun shot which killed him.

zimmerman is a cold blooded racist murderer.

Then what WILL help, hmm?

Because tossing back a battery of pills every morning isn`t solving a problem, it`s putting a band-aid on a festering wound.

You`re the only person that can look into yourself and figure out what it`ll take to change yourself. Have you considered changing locations? Warm weather and sunshine can do wonders on the human psyche compared to Canadian weather (even from the chemical POV)...

I just can`t stand people who prefer band-aids to solutions. And solutions exist to every problem, I don`t care what those people who play around in your head for your money want to tell you.

You`re the only person who can understand yourself, which means you`re the only person who can figure out what`s wrong with yourself, which means you`re the only person who can change yourself.

I`m not saying "just cheer up."

I`m saying "get the fuck over yourself, or get it all over with already."

Only YOU can control YOU. YOU can move mountains, but not if YOU think it`s impossible before you begin.

It`s not an easy process, and at forty years old I doubt you have the energy or time to expend on it, but one can change themselves, very pillars of their being. But only if they refuse to simply accept what they are, and actively pursue what they wish to be.

A man`s life is struggle, against himself and against the world. Giving in against brain chemistry just doesn`t make any sense to me, because as far as I`m concerned, it`s just another struggle against yourself.

Yea, it sucks for the family and friends of this kid, but let`s be honest here, looking at his track record and facebook/twitter accounts, he probably wasn`t going to have a positive impact on society anyways. So I don`t really see why you guys are making such a big deal over this. Treyvon is dead. Zimmerman`s life is pretty much ruined anyways(Thanks for taking justice into your own hands, media!), so I don`t see why him going to prison is going to make a big difference anyways.

(2) Once in the lab, I`d have to sort the newly-hatched flies under a microscope. Flies with Trait A went into one container, flies with Trait B into another. We had this chemical that would knock the fruit flies out for about 5 minutes before they`d start waking up again. So for about 4 minutes, I`d be peering into a microscope and sorting feverishly before they came to life again, like miniature re-animated zombies.

Ahhhh, good times... LOL.

@5Cats: Sadly, no extant data. That was long ago: more than two decades, in fact. I do, however, retain vivid memories of it all, which you might enjoy.

(1) Since we were using the fruit flies to study genetics, that involved breeding them. And the little buggers have such an accelerated life cycle that you had to intervene within a narrow window of opportunity after they hatched or they`d be a mating frenzy and you`d get genetic strains you didn`t want. Consequently, for a period of several weeks, I had to dutifully report to the lab every 4, 5 or 6 hours and frequently this would be at some insane hour. If you missed that window of opportunity and slept though the alarm, weeks of research could go down the drain. So for a period of about two months, my life was RULED by those little buggers. I can still remember walking across campus many nights, coffee in hand, in my own personal fog, at 3:15 am.

If you can`t control yourself, then you`re nothing but an undisciplined animal.

May as well start pissing on the carpet.

Humanity doesn`t need dead weight that relies on a pill to get through the day.

And, as a matter of fact, I HAVE dealt with someone who was diagnosed depressed. Very close friend of mine, actually. I helped them get over it, through sheer willpower alone. He ended up moving away, halfway across the country, but the lessons I taught him stuck and he`s living it up now.

So yes, it can be controlled and even fixed. It just takes more than "gentle words of encouragement" to do it, contrary to those wuss psychologists. To be honest, I find that the "being gentle" method is even worse, because the person goes from simply being depressed to being depressed and feeling pathetic because everyone pities them.

Thank you HERR DOKTOR ALTARU! Your PHD is in the mail for solving the whole question of "depression".
drat-tard.

In reality: depression is caused by unknown chemical imbalances in the brain. So many factors `may contribute` to it that it currently has NO cause, NO cure and very limited treatment.
0
Reply
Male 3,894
@Altaru--You don`t know what you`re talking about. It would be nice to believe that one can willpower their way through anything, but our mental state is largely due to both the physical setup of the brain and the balance of chemicals in and around it.

Those with depression (and many other mental illnesses) suffer from chemical imbalances that serve to alter their behavior in a way that they can`t control.

Yes, they can control their physical body. They can resist the urge to commit suicide, or to act and speak in a destructive manner. But they can`t control the fact that they have an internal urge to do so. Their only option is to take medicine to help maintain their chemical balance, and undergo therapy to help train themselves to manage the urges they have.

@Altaru: *facepaw* You couldn`t be more wrong when you call depression "an excuse." It`s chemical. In severe depression, willing yourself to think happy thoughts and have a can-do attitude are like trying to melt a glacier with a kitchen match.

I don`t care if it`s "insensitive." I`ll act sensitive towards someone with an actual problem.

Someone like 5 has no reason to be depressed and suicidal. He`s living a damn good life compared to other people in this world.

We didn`t become the apex animal on earth because we moped and bitched about our problems.

We fixed them, were proud of fixing them, then proceeded to work harder to make life better because we realized that only through working hard and thinking forward toward the solutions of our problems would things ever get better.

Being "depressed" is an excuse for being too pathetic to actually fix your problems. And if you can`t fix your problems, we don`t need you holding us back.

@Lillian: Well, I wish you good luck and hope you`re pleasantly surprised next week. Not sure how you engineering students do it. I`m sure I could never have made it through calculus; I steered clear of it by fulfilling my Math & Science requirements with biology courses. So I bred fruit flies.

Oh, and should engineering *not* work out, Heaven forfend, you know I`ve got another career path lined up for you.

I didn`t exactly intend to post that, but to anyone who saw it, it`s still true.

I went through a year of living hell when I was 15, and came out of it with a strong will to live and do great things.

I can`t help but find it pathetic that someone would rather DIE than face their problems head on and solve them, like an evolutionary success story like humanity should.

5, aren`t you religious, or at least spiritual? Then don`t you know that YOU should be in control of yourself, not your head?

The only reason you have a "high risk of suicide" is because you WANT to. Whether you believe it or not, you`ll find that if you WANTED to change yourself, it`s possible.

What am I saying? You`re the forty-something who`s so stuck in his ways he won`t even accept FACTS when they go against his worldview... You don`t stand a chance of changing a fundamental aspect of who you are.

@LillianDulci: By her own testamony:
She heard "someone" screaming.
She THEN heard a gunshot.
She THEN saw Z standing over M.

Ok?

She never SAW who was screaming, period! She didn`t see who was where until AFTER the shot was fired.
Unlike the other witness, who actually SAW Z and M fighting, ok?

@Dognose: I agree with you; good points. The EVB website makes it clear that the results are not binary, Yes or No, but rather a percentage match, with anything below 85% considered not a match.

So, per 5Cats earlier assertions, it may be premature to come out with a verdict on the voices without having that percentage figure relative to Martin.

On the other paw, Thomas Owen, the audio expert, has been doing this for quite awhile and, apparently, is good at it. One hopes he knows what he`s doing. His website, btw, is located here.

CJ&5Cats if you can provide proof that she wasn`t credible and that the police didn`t correct her when she told them it was trayvon screaming, and that the other witnesses are more credible than her, please do so.

I do find it amusing that you both discredit this and yet think the edited video is credible. Personally, I couldn`t see the "mark" on Zimmerman`s head at all until the still frame picture.

@Squrlz - Not so well ,_, But I think I did at least as well as my first test (which isn`t great but it`s passing). We wont have the results until next week though.

So, if they come up with a video of Trayvon speaking and this same expert runs it and finds it to be less than a 48% match (other articles state that is the Zimmerman match) then is the media going to backtrack again? The same way they did when ABC released the video of NO HEAD WOUNDS and then later after video forensics showed he was injured say, "oops, my bad!" Media in this country is terrible.

OK @Squirrelz, I made it though you, post! (lolz!)
Just barely!

But seriously, screaming and talking are so completley different, it`s not possible to make a baseline without properly comparable data, ok?
Ned Flanders! Need I say more?

@Altaru: I`ll notice that you`re agreeing with me, don`t get all excited.
Fingerprints are NOT 100% despite what the "experts" say this is true! Sure they`re GOOD, but not infallable.
DNA is much better, idk if it`s 100% but way better than fingerprints I`ll agree.

The thing about DNA and fingerprints, and I`m not trying to be a dick here, I`m just saying, is that they both remain consistent (unless you do something to your fingerprint, like scar it or something, but even then most of the markers should remain), so you don`t need more than two pieces of them in evidence to compare.

With a voice, though, it can change by the situation. Like I said, I can change mine at will, and sometimes it changes unconsciously. I`ve had people I`ve known for years not recognize me when I call them just to say hi.

Comparing "speaking calmly into the mic" against "screaming at the top of one`s lungs from a distance" just doesn`t seem fair to me...

I guess I just want to know the methods and science behind this before I`d believe it.

@5Cats: Slow down while reading this comment, big guy, `cuz I`m going to disagree with you and then agree with you. Don`t want to lose you on the turn.

Despite what you`re stating, the expert *does* have a baseline of Zimmerman`s voice: the recording of the 911 call Zimmerman himself made. The audio expert used the software to compare that voice with the voice calling for help and found they were not a match. What he did NOT have a baseline of was Martin`s voice. That`s why he`s stating only that the voice is not Zimmerman`s and will not venture to say whether or not it`s Martin`s.

That said, I share some of the others` skepticism regarding "voice fingerprinting." Perhaps it really is as accurate as the expert claims, but I`d need to see proof. Adrenalin can do funny things to a person`s vocal chords.

Lillian: That supposed `witness` was named Mary, she was on the phone, inside her house, at the time of the incident. The police tried to talk with her on 3 occasions, She gave a note about the incident to her friend to give to the police, it corroborated Zimmerman`s side of the story, at that time. It wasn`t until weeks later that she changed her story and said she heard Martin yelling for help, after it started getting national media attention.

People felt the same about DNA not long ago, and fingerprints once upon a time. As long as they can demonstrate to a jury or to the world publicly etc. how it works, why it works, and how accurate it is then it really doesn`t matter how much someone wants to accept it. Demonstrated, proven science > opinions. I mean that non-offensively and of course I have yet to see the proof behind the pudding but I am certain it exists or it wouldn`t be in use for terrorists and other murder cases already.

That`s not what I got from it. He says over and over he can`t say it is Treyvon but he says pretty straightforward that on tests identifying voices out of 300 he gets a 99% accuracy. At 40% he says with certainty it is not Zimmerman. As I said it is enough in most cases to try but not necessarily convict because he can`t show it was Treyvon but it is enough to arrest imo.

Didn`t MSNBC also doctor Zimmerman`s 911 call to make it seem like he was really focusing on Martin`s race? Yup.

This story is really just showing how awful the MSM can be. They can omit and twist any story to fit their needs to stir up controversy and have something to talk about for weeks on end. Mind you, it`s still important because it`s a murder, however I don`t support Zimmerman and I don`t support Martin. I have no clue what really happened that night and I`m hoping a full investigation will yield some answers. I`m tired of the witch hunt for Zimmerman, and I`m tired of every f^ckhead black leader and politician coming out of the woodwork to say their two cents. I have no idea if Zimmerman`s actions were race-related. I have no idea if Martin was just walking and minding his business. Stop acting like assclowns and wait for some real goddamn evidence.

According to 5Cats, media bias matters more than credible scientific evidence, which he`s been begging for all along.

I feel it would be a good time to point out to anyone who may start an argument with him: He does indeed suffer from Selective Comprehension. He won`t listen to any of your good points, but will nit-pick at any opportunity. He will actively deny that he can make mistakes, but will consider you wrong about everything, even when you`re right.

So it`s not worth it people. You can`t change the made-up mind of a 40-something man who deliberately refuses to change.

Since he had only a brief sample of scream and a short reference sample of Zimmernman talking, not screaming, according to him such a statement is impossible. he is simply lying, and we can assume the otehr idiot is too.

They can`t prove it`s Treyvon but he says it is definitely not Zimmerman. Logic dictates it must be Treyvon but the lack of comparison does make this circumstantial but more than enough to arrest pending trial while they investigate more. Until the credibility of anonymous witness can be determined I`m more prone to believe the science.

Finally, a piece of evidence to go on. Scientific evidence and professional testimony is enough to try and potentially convict alone. If they don`t make an arrest based on this then I concede that it`s very justified to be pissed.
It`s still wrong to encourage kidnapping, violence, etc. I hope people continue to hold off and give the system a chance to work instead of murdering him. Also, it`s weird how waiting and letting experts do their job produces results.
