Link: Why You So Racist, Sommeliers? - Instead of serving these rare bottles of wine, how about just destroying them all as you find them?

is it a rare bottle? The label makes it look fairly new.

like it or not, its history.

the guy might`ve been a raving racist, but so have plenty of former american leaders and/or icons.

    Here`s One Story
    And Another
This one appears to be a replica, not the `trademark` squiggle after the `n`?

The (real) 1943 winebottle was expected to get $1,000 but sold for $8,000 back on 2007.

destroying them won`t erase what happened, might as well keep it for the history.

Having a picture of Hitler makes it racist? By that logic, we should shut down google. You can find tons of Hitler pictures there.

It`s f-ucking wine, not a genocidal madman! At least, the wine can be finished off quickly!

vv In the articles I linked it suggests that the wine might not even be drinkable, the value is the rarity. If you opened it, I`d guess half it`s $8,000 value would be lost, and it`d probably taste like poo...

So we should destroy all copies of Mein Kampf as well? It`s history just like all the other stuff we keep from horrible people...

It`s just history. This would be now different than finding a Hitler youth knife, and to a collector, would be an awesome find. If I owned Hitler`s personal armband, I`m putting that sh|t on ebay, not burning it.

I`m not sure what the purpose of destroying them would be, except it is German wine - lol

Meh, talk to Germany. I think there is very active trading in Confederate currency and other artifacts in the USA. Good or bad?
