When Street Graffiti Becomes Art [Pic]

Nice... this piece is almost Banksy-like. Anyone know if it is indeed a Banksy?

anybodyu who knows their history and ignorant as crap knows without tags graffiti would have never became what it is today it starts with a tag,a tag becomes a throw up,a thro up becomes a burner,a burner becomes a peice,a peice becomes mural, tags are quintessential regurdless of how the average retard looks at them, graffiti as we know it was born out of the basic human need to leave a mark, heance the writing of a name, which was born of the animal behaviour of territorial pissing, the competitive aspect is the only thing that brought art into the mix, people trying to out do the last man,but the intention is entirely the same be it a simple tag scrawled on a light post with a lame magic marker or sixty color mural done by a professional artist, learn what you are talking about before you talk.

Every graffiti is a Banksy, obviously guys. There is no other graffiti artist. Just Banksy.

Not even close to a Banksy. Banksy incorporates messages. This is just someone who likes Batman.

I think the person who submitted it thought it looked like a Banksy because of works like this.

It`s kind of, sort of similar. Not really, but maybe that`s where they got the idea. It`s decent work, but not Banksy`s style at all.

Not the first time I`ve seen a picture of some street art with a caption at the bottom questioning whether it is "a banksy" and certainly won`t be the last *SIGH*

*sigh* Why is it that when everyone sees well done vandalism, they always ask if its a Banksy? Its not a Banksy. Wrong colors, wrong style, and no meaning. Its not `almost Banksy-like` at all.

*sigh*

Is IAB now going to attribute every piece of graffiti that someone put some effort into, to friggin` Banksy?

Seriously... the guy`s been doing his thing for something like 20 years now and this website is now suddenly flooded with "Banksy" submissions, many of which probably have absolutely nothing to do with him.

I always thought "art" required original composition or idea.
This is very well executed copying.

I doubt Banksy is painting Batman, and it doesn`t look like his style at all.

For the love of everything sacred. STOP THINKING EVERY PIECE OF VANDALISM IS BANKSY.

Doesn`t look like Banksy in the slightest, it`s just the only street graffiti artist anyone knows about.
