You can take the black man out of the hood, but you can`t take the hood out of the black man.

Good god this trayvon b.s. is getting out of hand. Everyday there`s more news. We get it. White cop shot black kid. Fantastic. Thanks for the story. Middle Eastern militants also shot black guy, white guy, jewish guy, and probably a few others of middle eastern descent. Does the American public give a damn? Not really, because no scandal is attached to it. America, coming from a fellow American: Rot in hell. I`ve lost all faith in you. You make me sick. There`s more important stuff going on than this. And as soon as I find a country to disappear in, I will.

So when the riots start, can white people loot too? Or do we run away?
Nobody should be shooting anybody because of a goddamn hoodie, black or white.
That`s what I used to think. Now I`m not so sure...

When, not if Zimmerman gets not guilty, I believe there will be riots, and the black panthers will systematically hunt down and shoot non-black people as retribution

@Godamndevil-I`m sure the black community is stocking up on their flammable liquids, and the Panthers have their illegal guns loaded. It`s gonna be quite a soiree`.

15000 people murdered in the US last year, and this Trayvon gets this much attention why? Wow... I weep for how stupid the culture is in the country.

sorry... don`t much care what color a person is... I live in Orange County and we have a lot of $h!t kickers and white trash that run around with hoodies on... I think they all look shady, and should all be shot... let this be a lesson... don`t wear your hoodie up unless ITS RAINING.

They are making a statement about being black in a hoodie. They are not saying he is guilty. It`s wasn`t too long ago that they would at least put on a show of a trial before letting him go free

People seem to have a genuine lack of faith in the members of Congress, and the office of the President isn`t far behind. Now people are declaring guilt or innocence before allowing the courts to determine it - a sign that people have less faith in the judicial branch. That pretty much rules out the entire Fed.

These leaders are encouraging the black community to be racists vigilantes. We are seriously going backwards in race relations from all of this. The ignorance and hypocrisy of the black leaders and black community is really starting to piss me off. I`m trying REALLY hard not to become more bigoted from this. REALLY hard.

Let`s all jump on the band wagon and have a Paaaaaaaaa-tay!

Mayor of Philladelphia {city of brotherly love} called the Travon Martin shooting an "assasination". I`m so glad our elected officials know their facts before speaking.

Anyone wearing Miss. State shirts to support the white boy who was shot and murdered there by three black males two days ago? No? Just hoodies to support a black male who could still be ruled just as guilty? Shocker.

of all the problems in this world, THIS... is how they show their support for one of the most insignificant news stories i`ve heard in 2012.

"Hey, there`s the band-wagon, let`s gooo"

grow up, open your eyes, and make the changes yourself!

These jerks are just showing what racists they are. They are reacting before knowing all the facts. Martin`s picture the media shows dates back to when he was an innocent kid of 13. He grew up to be a thug with a hoodie who beat up Zimmerman. Zimmerman is a Latino. I hope this blows up in Al Sharpton`s, Jesse Jackson`s, the Black Panthers`, these guys in Congress, and obama`s faces.

In response to the killing... no...

In response to the media spewing "he`s black and wore a hoodie, it was his fault he was shot"... yes

Good protest against Geraldo`s comment, but is it worth the time of a US Senator to protest drating Geraldo?

You can draw attention to a tragedy, and show respect for the victims, with dignity, intelligence and grace.

Or you can do this.

Oh, my god! Quick, somebody shoot them!!

Jokes aside, this was unnecessary, as it was Geraldo who made the hoodie comment.

I think Colbert said it best: "Yes, it was the hoodie`s fault. A hooded sweatshirt can make an innocent teen look like a criminal. Just like a suit and glasses can make Geraldo Rivera look like a journalist."

I don`t care what I`m wearing or where I`m at; if someone follows then chases me and confronts me with aggression, he`d best hope he can get to his gun first- because I will shoot him dead, then I will claim I stood my ground.
Fortunately, we don`t have any dumbass watch groups where I live, just well armed neighbors.

A hoodie is not an excuse to kill someone. But if I`m walking downtown at night and someone with a hoodie is walking towards me I get nervous. I don`t care if they are black or white. Hell it even made a middle aged senator look intimidating.
