    Same like this with all sword fighting in Hollywood. People assume that sword fighting is hitting the opponents sword with yours.

    Stupid movies, always pretend fighting.

    I bet if you watch all those fight scenes in almost every move they probably don`t hit each other there too.

    Great observations genius.

    @Mantistador: Ooops, forgot about that. Well, the technology is like it`s the 29th century, so there! lolz!
    And the lightsabre is for fairy-fights, have they never heard of a "lunge" or a "thrust"???

    It`s all choreographed with real sticks and poles. They don`t want to hurt the actors should the timing go wrong.

    So Yes, it`s obviously faked, No Duh !

    The choreography was borked, but I remember how blown away we all were to see Jedi fighting like that.

    @CrakrJak

    It`s the not an issue of getting hurt, it`s that only one of the three knows what he`s doing. Most filmmakers will let there actors practice till they have the routine tight, I don`t think Lucas works that way.
