Snotty liberals hate Olive Garden because it represents corporate America, and they have utter contempt for people-- especially "red-state rubes clinging to their guns and religion" -- who disagree with them. Olive Garden may not be four-star haute cuisine, but they serve consistently good food in a pleasant atmosphere at affordable prices. Worst of all, common folk who live out in "fly-over country" actually enjoy it, and for some perverse reason, that galls the left-wing elitists.

Hey, if you don`t like it, stay away, and we`ll get along fine.

Tiredofnicks: Yeah same here, and I LIVE in Grand Forks HAHA!

Seriously, I don`t get this post. What is the point? I`ve never been to an Olive Garden though... :S

I moved from an area with many gross Olive Gardens to a place with none in the general vicinity, and when they decided to build one, the locals reacted kind of like this lady. I was completely boggled by it. I asked some of them if they`d ever actually eaten at one and they said yes, that`s they would drive over an hour to go to the closest one. Finally I broke down and went, to see if maybe I was wrong about Olive Garden. But no, it was still disgusting.

@ Mister C:
Yeah. Olive Garden sucks.

Not that I have room to talk. My hometown (thank God I haven`t lived there in 20 years) recently had an article in the local paper about the hysteria surrounding the opening of the areas first White Castle.

@imnakedjumpme , I live in Grand Forks actually. We had a Denny`s and it closed, something with the rent and they did not want to renew there contract and decided to close.

Grand Forks actually has had a ton of new restaurants open in the last few years. Our state economy has a surplus and we have a huge influx of Canadian shoppers come down every weekend. We have more restaurants than we should due to all of the tourists/shoppers who come through.

Anyway, being from North Dakota, we do get made fun of a lot about being old fashioned. We do have some of the major chain restaurants but we do still have a lot of local diners and such.

Olive Garden is dreadfully mediocre. There`s lots of locally-owned resteraunts in Grand Forks that deserve MY patronage when I visit there!
Olive Garden? NO!
Taco Bell? NO!
& etc.

Who goes to other places to eat at the SAME food chain they can find at home?

Great college hockey town. Home of the Fighting Sioux! GO SIOUX! But you can`t get into a restaurant on game day unless you get there at lunch.

Plus she didnt even reveiw the food. she just said they have a menu with food. At least list some of the menu items instead of saying they have salads, pasta, and water.
i cant wait to read her thorough review of the new Arby`s they are getting in a few months. maybe she will get a fountain drink this time.

You know, I get it. This little old lady from Grand Forks doesn`t get out much. A brand new Olive Garden is the nicest restaurant she`s been in. It`s maybe worth a chuckle at BEST. Have some respect and maybe one day if your lucky enough to live to be her age you`ll get it back.
