Teen Magician With Dry Humor? Funny Or Grrr

Submitted by: eugenius 4 years ago Funny

Yeah, the kid has been coached like hell, but he has some chops in there. Plus, what were you doing at 15? That"s right.

He will be a successful entertainer someday. He has plenty of time to develop his skills.

He probably wasn`t lying about the friend thing. Yes he` funny on a stage but I imagine he`s a tool to be friends with.

He`s really good and I find his awkwardness to be funny, but he`s trying to hard to get laughs. I`d laugh more if he was naturally awkward.

Makes me wonder, most contests the best don`t even get in. Something about it not being entertaining if they are all talented, people like to watch other people fail to feel better about them selfs. I guess I just like to see a few others, perhaps the runner up to compare.

I didn`t like this very much.

The `humor` he uses doesn`t really fit him and he is to slow with his actions so you can see that he`s rigging things.
You see him constantly fidgeting with the handkerchiefs near the button of his jacket and he is to obvious in his gestures.

At the moment he shows the handkerchiefs he will give to the first man you see him make a switch when he adds the last blue handkerchief.
He gives the man the handkerchiefs that where constantly in his hands and he keeps the ones he showed to the audience.
The first man thus ends up with a series of handkerchiefs the audience didn`t see and are most surely already tied up.
The other man ends up with a tied set that will undoubtedly come undone when pulled in the right way.

I have seen better magicians from his age in the Penn and Teller fool us television series.

Ya gotta admire his patter. Had a good rhythm, even if his tricks were simple at best.

I thought the kids humor was spot on.
Well delivered and he looks the part.
No one minded Erkel, so what`s the problem laugh with this kid? It`s his joke, you`re not laughing at him.

Humor like that may not come off so well coming from a kid, I think because what he says might almost be true, y`know? So it seems a touch awkward. If an adult does it, it`s funny because he`s portraying himself as a nerd who hasn`t grown up and we don`t mind laughing at him.

Analyzing humor is one of my hobbies... apparently.

The "cute kid" humor will subside when his balls finally drop. Then he`ll promote himself to forever lonely.

There`s a difference between dry humor and appearing bored. That being said, at least he`s doing his thing.

Well done. It was like Big Bang Theory meets Harry Potter.

At 15? Mostly I was dodging things.

Not bad... not bad. Some of the ladies looked titillated by his demeanor.

But the dry humor got... extra dry? near the end.
