Maybe the lesson here is to use google more? I have never reposted anything like this without googling first, it`s just common sense surely?

People need to do research, no one in Uganda really cares about Kony, because he hasn`t been active for 6 years. Many think he`s already dead.

Can we stop belittling people who are motivated to take action after being enlightened to a good cause? It`s just pathetic. Yes people should look into these issues more closely before following with blind passion but this attitude of mocking needs to stop.

GreyYes - You`re right, you`re not helping anything, and you should be proud. Well done. Apathy, very well done.

@thubanstar wow do you really think the entire world is going to come together and there will be a `whole new way of government` `a whole new way of living` bahaha. sorry but people dont change just because some tragedy such as this pops up on the front cover of every news paper. sorry to be the cynical douchebag, i know the truth hurts. im not trying to troll im just tired of people thinking so irrationally. your optimism is sweet but alas in the end there will only be more bloodshed and war. i like the idea of helping the children involved in this mess but face it kony 2012 will fizzle out like all the other `movements for a better cause.` people such as yourself are blinded by their optimism and dont see what is right in front of them.

people watch a 30min video and now they think `oh my god i have to tell EVERYONE. TWICE.`
i agree the guys terrible but if youre not going to do your research fist (and that doesnt mean just watching a 30 minute video) stop preaching! if it makes you feel good to donate thats cool but if you think everyones gonna give as much as a damn as you do thats too bad because its the truth. people only care because this is what everyone else is talking about. in a month no one will care you just wait and see.

oh boy so not everyone reallized that not ALL of the money was going to those kids...how else are they supposed to fund what they do anyway? ofcourse they would keep SOME of the money...how much of it? i dont know.

costs and expenses include, but not limited to:

salaries and wages.
merchandise purchasing and shipping.
traveling expenses.

not saying that them stealing from people is wrong. im just saying that this should just really be expected anyway...doesn`t change the fact that Kony still should/needs to be captured in the slightest.

that being said. i have NOT donated ANYTHING to ANYONE...i would buy a kit though if i could.

@mcboozerilla
Is that because you now feel like a fool for supporting it? Now everyone knows about how terrible the charity really is...

And ... honest to god, If I hear one more stupid person saying "He`s just not doing it so much anymore"...

Well. That`s ok then. It`s perfectly ok that he killed all those people because "He`s not doing it anymore". I guess I`ll go there and buy him dinner to make up for any misunderstanding.

We are all, perhaps, on the verge of a whole new way of living. A whole new way of government. A way where people who want to help each other can come together.... and you cynics whine about stupid, teeny, petty, inconsequential things.

Seriously? Rent a brain.

I`m starting to get really angry at these posts against Invisible Children.

You want to be a cynical douchebag? Fine. But leave it off IAB, ffs.

My problem? Invisible children gives its money to the Ugandan government and military, and there`s rumors that the army rapes and steals from people. And how will this campaign find Kony? His army decreses a lot since 2006, and he might not even be in Uganda.

Not to mention, the only way to get to him is killing child soldiers. I just don`t think outsiders who don`t fully understand the situation should be involed. End rant.

As for Kony getting attention "now"...

Sigh, you people... you hear stuff but you don`t listen...

Look. Occupy Wall Street. The Movement to keep the government out of the freedom of the internet... these movements have had a BIG impact on society, and they are MADE POSSIBLE by the fact that people can speak to each other in huge groups instantly across the globe in a way never done before.

The goal of Kony 2012 is NOT just to get Kony. It`s starting an international movement of concerned, ordinary citizens who will do this on a REGULAR BASIS and try and help their fellow man across the world.

Maybe humans are just lazy, but now that it`s easier and easier to organise things among common people (instead of going through politicians and governments) don`t you think it`s a good thing all the big movements so far are about care for other people and their rights and freedoms? This is the most altruistic one so far, and I`m happy about it.

To clarify this theory about this movement being a "scam".

It`s not a scam. You can download the posters for free if you wish. All they want to do is make this guy so well known and hated that our government won`t give up hunting him down.

The posters that THEY print, should you be so inclined to purchase a more professional poster instead of printing them out for free comes in a pack of 25 for $5. Wow, they sure are reaming us! How could they possibly ask for so much money?

Also, it seems pretty odd to me that a "scam" would consist of making themselves so well known and therefore scrutinized that it would be almost impossible to hide any unplesant information.

I will wait for 2 comedians to give me skewed information so I can confuse television and mass appeal with researched fact and non-biased information

"i will wait for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to pick up the subject and bring some background information"

Not being familiar with "invisible children", i will wait for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to pick up the subject and bring some background information. (Stephen was listed in the video as one of their supporters)
In europe, i haven`t heard of them.

Scam? It`s just a charity doing a (very successful) donations drive.

Why u so cynical IAB?
