Snowy/Slick Roads Should Always Be Taken Seriously

Or else this could happen. I have no idea of the status of the driver, but it looks bad to me...

Yeah, well, if he`d been driving a Prius, he`d be REALLY f***ing dead.

I`ve actually witnessed something very similar... I was driving the truck. Lady thought she could speed past cars in icy/snowy conditions and soon found out she couldn`t. Luckily she and her daughter survived after I hit them head on, airbags didn`t even deploy **cough cough 2006 Chevy Tahoe**

that was a horrible crash. I`m going to assume the person driving was intoxicated.

When I was first learning to drive, my father told me, "Always assume the person in the car next to you is a total idiot and is about to do something really stupid; you`ll be right 99.9% of the time." (Still sad to see someone get obliterated.)

never use your brakes. ever!

if he/she would`ve just corrected without drastically changing their velocity none of this would`ve happened.

The accident took place on the М-7 road in the Petushinski District, Vladimirskaya Region in Russia on February 24, 2012.

Driver of Nissan Navara lost control of his vehicle on the slippery road and slid to the oncoming lane, right in the path of large freightliner. Upon impact, Nissan Navara got literally obliterated by the semi. The obliteration is actually much more severe than one would expect up until the moment of impact.

The uploader of the video learned that the name of the Nissan driver was Alexander. He died on the spot. Hid funeral was held on February 28 in Balashikha.source

It appears that driver wasn`t paying attention and drifted to the left out of the tracks and into the snowpack, then jerked the wheel back to the right and sent the car into a skid, then WAY over-corrected for the skid and spun it to the left till it got crossways, and then it caught enough traction to send it across the median.

Just my opinion...

They tried correcting to abruptly if you ask me, slow hand movements on the wheel in these road conditions or else you will loose control. Hopefully things turned out alright.

Also, I have seen no new report on this to confirm any fatalities, which is why I said I don`t know for certain, although I very much doubt they got out alive. It`s very sad, I especially feel sorry for their family/families but it`s a lesson everyone should take seriously. It has a place here in my eyes...

This was not posted for entertainment, get serious. Yes, the people in the car are pretty much guaranteed to be dead. But this site has often been used for educational purposes as well as "Entertainment". This was posted for EDUCATIONAL reasons for people to be careful. You see no gore, you don`t see the people die. But yes, whoever said about saying someone died, if it`s possible to change the title...I agree that I should have a warning of death (although it is not physically seen).

In reality though, just as markust123 said, you can work out that a fatality is involved in the video by the description, if it sounds like something you won`t enjoy or some educational thing like this that you don`t want to know, then simply ignore the link...

"I really don`t get how they weren`t driving carefully. They were driving the exact same way as everyone else. Notice how long they took to change lanes. They just lost control. It was 100% chance. I see no irresponsible driving. Sure, they could have waited to pass, but everyone else was passing too."

I didn`t see anyone else try to cross over the slush into the on coming traffic to pass. That was a stupid move that sadly cost them their lives. This is the worst crash I have ever seen. I`m going to have nightmares.

IAB: Do we really need to see people die, or depictions of their deaths/torture ?

@ drgnfire - rating is not scoring for entertainment. It indicates if they should have more of this sort of thing, so if you didn`t like it, you should rate it low to influence future threads.
___

We know that`s a lie. I mean we still have the "10 Awkward Pics" thread and that gets low ratings. The rating system here in IAB is BS, kinda like the close button in the elevator.

really, this bothers you people?

many of you supported two failed wars that resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands but seeing it for real bothers you doesn`t it?

next time remember this video before you go along with a crusade.

@KitFox: Damn you. I went to rotten.com out of curiosity (I`ve always had a thing for disturbing things such as viraldeath.com, theync.com, and the such) and now I`m going to have dratted up dreams tonight. I`m so drunk right now too. I about puked at that site. Hahah

But this video is dratted up too. But, it shows us a good reason to drive safely in icy conditions. Yes, it`s sad for whatever happened to the victims in the black SUV, but if we can learn from this video then their deaths (assuming they died) will not be in vein.

PS: I`m drunk. So don`t rip me apart for this post too much

It is just bad form to put this sort of video on an "entertainment" website. That is morbid, and distasteful. Shame on whoever posted this, and whomever approved it.

The people in that wreck are real people, who had a real life. Is there no sense of decency or respect on this website anymore?

im also going to add that im not going to rate this, a rating means it was put up as a form of entertainment whether people like it or not.

as a firefighter who has to deal with car crashes almost everyday this is not a form of entertainment to me. that is all.

I don`t know if the status of the driver thing was a joke or not but it`s obviously not in the air for question. If this was put here for entertainment then whoever submitted and posted it have bad tastes. KitFox is right, there are other places for this sort of thing.

Not sure why people are complaining about this being posted. It`s not as though it shows gore, has been presented gleefully as entertainment, or is being mocked. It provides a salutary lesson for people to be careful on the roads.

Something similar happened to me this February. I was driving to school, skidded out, hit the guard rail, flipped on my side, and almost slid into the river. Fortunately for me I was wearing a seat belt and didn`t hit another vehicle. I was completely unharmed except for bruise between my index and middle finger. Also 4runner wasn`t that badly damaged either. Those older models can take a beating. So be careful on that poo.

They need heated highways! (like in the futurist film, eh?)

Um, why is IAB offering us "torture p0rn" and "snuff films"? This driver and any passengers are so obviously dead, as were those in the other crash video today...

If I wanted to watch sick crap there`s tons of sites that specialize in that...
